Midnights was out for like a month in 2022. Taylor Swift is a force.

I wonder how many Taylor Swift records will be on the top sales of 2070 list.

This is a little embarrassing, but I finally listened to Aja straight through. Musical genius. Now I understand.

Was shocked to hear several riffs/hooks that resurfaced in the 90s.

Between my daughter and me, we have 8 of those on the list. No Kendrick and while I have Sgt. Pepper and The White Album, I don't have Abbey Road yet.

Actually, we have 9 because she has two separate pressings of Midnights.

I see your De La Soul and raise you a Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz. An ode to the Bx filmed primarily in Queens at Shea.

Also of note, who got 100% of the royalties from that particular song....

Bela Fleck did a lot with the jam bands back in the early 90s, iirc. I had his UFO Tofu album, which I remembered liking a lot. Haven't listened to him much since then though. Probably should get back to him at some point.

I've been in a rut with music these days anyway. I usually listen to podcasts/audiobooks when driving - trying to cram more content into my brain when I can - and it's tough to listen to music at work because of my office location. I used to have music on all day in my old office/job, but I'm in a temporary space that was basically the administrative assistant's office for our director. So I have people in and out all day, talking to me.

When we are driving around, my kids usually hijack the aux and I get a healthy dose of Lil Baby, Gunna, NLE Choppa, 21 Savage, Morgan Wallen(!!!), and other crap.

Oh FFS. None of those artists produced R&R. Look, I love Willie Nelson, but he didn't make rock songs. Missy Elliot is an R&B artist, and George Michael was a pop singer.

R&R HOF is dumb.
