I know, but the point remains. You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you........ well if it is, and he's right about it being about him......... that's not really vanity then, is it?

Funny isn't the first word I thought of to describe Remy.

I like Daft Punk, as much as a non-dance music listening 47 year old would. But it's not like they've been active lately? They appeared on a couple of tracks for The Weeknd in 2016. I guess they don't want to get asked if they're recording anything new etc.?

What a self indulgent piece of crap announcement.

Certainly could’ve just franchised that like Blue Man Group.

Meh.

The only thing I know about Daft Punk is the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. It was a perfect fit.

Random Access Memories was good, particularly the tracks Nile Rodgers played on.

Just found out about the downfall of Daft Punk. I listened to an assload of DP when I lived in Philly and would drive back and forth to Pgh on the turnpike. Really bummed to hear they are calling it quits. I was just thinking the other day that it would be pretty awesome if they went on tour after the pandemic.

I thought Random Access Memories was way too self indulgent, so it doesn't surprise me to hear that their youtube epilogue thing is self indulgent

Tracked down my earworm after two days of searching:

The hook with the woman's voice is a like a barbed harpoon to the eardrum.

Billy strings had his first show streaming for free last night from Capitol theater and it was awesome. Very nice bird song in there. I believe the last show will also stream free on the 24th.
:thumb: Thanks for pointing this out. He has the sneak peeks archived on his YouTube. The music is definitely better than the haircut...
Free show tonight at 9 to end the run

And, just to be clear, this is a civil discussion. People like all kinds of music and that's one thing I love about it.

It's weird, because as I get older I have started to revisit genres of music that I turned my nose up at when I was younger. I was never into punk, but it's impossible to deny it's influence on the music I do like. Be it Foo Fighters or Metallica, the punk bloodline is apparent.

Not interested. Saying any genre sucks is silly. I'm not a fan of show tunes but I would never arrogantly think I know enough about it to say it all sucked.
