So what was Neil Young doing in 1971?
He did a solo acoustic tour - which yielded Live at Massey Hall.

I think you should be able to see some of this without a subscription: https://neilyoungarchives.com/album?id=A_059&tab=songs
Excellent, never heard these before.

I'd never heard of him; but he plays in a very good band I'm a big fan of: Durand Jones and & The Indications.
you familiar with these guys?

the singer is the same guy who gave us this classic

Live From Massey Hall is great.

As much as I enjoyed seeing Neil Young with Promise of the Real, seeing him solo in the intimate setting that is the Tower Theater was an incredible experience. Literally a whole stage full of instruments. Couple photos below, sorry for potato quality:

On a side note, F the people that yell at Neil (or any other artist) during a performance like this. Annoying as hell.

That is awesome. A friend of a friend is the gm of the Pittsburgh exchanges and is a collector. It was interesting listening to him talk about getting 90’s era albums on vinyl. **** like silverchair and stone temple pilots are rare and the jewels for the late millennial collectors

and i would be remiss not to mention the two albums rice made with his brothers, the first one being exceptionally fine

with its lines about pittsburgh and 'route 22 all over again'

Whoa. Mind blown. I thought he was just a comedy writer. Kinda reminds me of my favorite local pittsburgh band

Yeah the original press ones from the era where vinyl had fallen out of favor can be worth quite a bit.

According to Discogs my most consistently valuable album is a copy of New Order- Substance 1987 that I bought new back then. I have some 50s-60s jazz that could go for more if I hit it right but as far as median price, all conditions, median price is $75.

So used? Seeing the prices used records go for these days that sounds like a risk of getting something that was played on a crappy turntable and full of clicks and pops . No so much when they were going to $2.99.

Yes, used.

If you buy in a store you can eyeball and usually test play before you buy. Online need to know which sellers to trust and if their grading is in line with your own. I wouldn't spend any sizable amount of money with a seller I didn't trust.

I attempted to watch some of the actual show, but waaay too cringey and not funny. The news was good, and that’s about it.

She seemed nervous. I also thought the destroying the guitar on a fake monitor was weird. The sound mix seemed off with the guitars too low so the build up to the smash didn’t really work.

I still thought she did well and the response to the guitar smashing has been hilarious.

Some people are very upset at it. It’s made for some good tweets though. The weird thing for me was the fake monitor.
