It's remarkable how many of these classic jazz clips are from European TV shows. It's like Europe appreciated jazz music and performers more than the country of jazz's origin. :pop:

Pretty cool article on Pink Floyd's The Wall.

The bit about the entire album being a loop is interesting.

Seriously considering taking the fam up to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Avett Brothers drive-in concert next month. Depending on the price, it might be pretty cool for my kids’ first concert.

What's everyone favorite concert experience?
December 31, 1999. Pontiac Silverstone.

Sevendust
Kid Rock (say what you will he used to put on a hell of a show)
Ted Nugent (rode out onto to the stage on a live buffalo and did a 3 song set with Damn Yankees)
Metallica

There was a "snake pit" and we got in. Room for at least 500 but there were less than 200.of us in there. The entire bill came out and did Detroit Rock City at midnight.

What's everyone favorite concert experience?
Jesus and Mary Chain 1989, My Bloody Valentine 2013, Stereolab ca. 1997, Monster Magnet 1993 or 94, Robert Forster 2015...

My favorite is probably Bob Dylan and Saint Vitus on the same evening in Berlin in 2012. Dylan way out west in Spandau, afterwards taking the train to Kreuzberg to see Vitus... glorious.

Another favorite is Van Dyke Parks in Madrid a few years ago. I actually missed the concert itself...long story.

Ok. My gf had tickets for the xx but couldn't make it, so I went, because a friend of ours had tickets, too, and we didn't want her to have to go alone. I do like the xx and it was good, although 6000 Spaniards singing along to Crystalized was kinda weird ... anyway, afterwards I ran for half an hour through Madrid hoping to catch at least some of VDP... well, I arrived just in time to catch the final applause. VDP, this wonderful man, hung around with a glass of red wine talking to the fans - maybe 100 of them, it was a small venue... somehow, just being there and seeing him was enough. So it wasn't that long of a story after all.

And La Riviera's capacity is 2500, so I guess it weren't 6000 Spaniards.

I'm not sure I have a favorite, but some of the best were:

Weird Al Yankovic at Metropol.
Chris Knight at the Rex Theater.
B.B. King at Heinz Hall.
Dream Theater and Joe Satriani at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
