Anyone else snagging Stones tickets? I've wanted to see them for a long time, and this will probably be the last chance to see them stateside. Don't care if they will be on the far side of 75, they put on a show.

This is a great read on how the new Neil Young release was recorded on his 1976 tour.
That was a good read. Album, naturally, is excellent.
They used C90 cassette recordings off of the soundboard...pretty good quality imo.

I know people who have seen their show and thought it was great; I personally don't see how. I wouldn't want to pay the kind of money they're probably asking, especially in the wake of the movie, but ymmv.

We enjoyed the show. I wouldn't pay a ton of money to see them though. I mainly enjoyed May's guitar work.

Don't know if any of you guys are jazz fans but just got 2nd row seats to Pat Metheny at Carnegie Lecture Hall in March. Have wanted to see him for 25 years now, concert dates just never worked out. Can't wait!

I saw the Pogues in - eek - 1990. There was and still is a large contingent of British Forces based in the area where I live, so it was pretty rowdy. Awesome.
I saw the Dubliners in 1991 in Kilkenny, ... in a hall full of German tourists. They also use to play in Bielefeld every November.

I saw all three in Pittsburgh and D.C. at various places.

Country music has always been dominated by female voices. Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, The Carter Family, Kathy Mattea, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Suzy Boggess, etc...

Those are all legacy artists.
Outside of Carrie Underwood, it’s difficult for a solo female artist to get airtime on country radio.
Other than a couple of one off singles and a duo (something called Dan + Shay), the first female solo artist on the top Billboard country music list in Carrie Underwood at #25. Then someone named Kelsea Ballerini at #29. https://www.billboard.com/charts/country-songs
