So nice. Jonesville isn't very far from where I am right now.

Thanks for sharing this. This made me want to find more information about him--this is a fun watch:

Last time Eddie Murphy hosted SNL, Plant and the Honeydrippers played, wish they would have brought them back this weekend.

Came across this Linda Ronstadt CNN special. She's rock and roll for the born before 1940 set.

We watched an episode of The 2000s on CNN yesterday and saw approximately 192 commercials promoting that Ronstadt show, plus in-show chyrons. Twas a bit obnoxious, but we saved it to the DVR for later.

this whole thing is great, but I understand if you don't want to watch for a half hour, so it's ready to go at the countdown. I hope to one day make a MSG new years show, it looks like it would be so much fun!

Another point: Trey's (the guitarist for the unfamiliar) platform got stuck up in the air after one or two songs post-midnight. Played the rest of the show up on the platform, and had to be brought down on the drummer's platform at the end of the show.

RESCUE SQUAD! These pro videos in HDR from them look gorgeous on my TV, I really wish they would put out live shows on 4k discs.

I'd go for 2nd day just for Oysterhead, Tenacious D, King Gizzard, MKB and Billy Strings.

Out of curiosity, what is appealing about that lineup?

For me, Riot Fest is the only festival with an awesome lineup. I see a couple bands each day that I would make a point to watch, but most of that would be spent waiting in line for beer, then finding a spot away from the crowds to drink beer.

Bassnectar, Flume, Lizzo, Tame, Rezz <3, oh Rezz...Glass Animals is just pure sex...Big Wild is a good show...

Miley Cyrus I've heard is an awesome live show...subtronics and ekali will be good in a small setting...

High school mikey will love to see Dashboard Confessional again...

Just right off the bat, that's where I'm at...oh, Ganja, Run the Jewels, seen them, but that's quality...and then plus all the stuff I don't know and get to explore over the next few months to see what else I can add to my card...I'm very excited...

The transition from Tool to Miley Cyrus to Bassnectar will be very interesting if they lineup in any kind of way haha...

Before Bonnaroo happened they tried to do a concert experience for the old heads at that same location. It was called Itchycoo 99 and they were expecting it to be huge, but only a couple thousand people showed up including me and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Because nobody showed up, the bands would come out and hang with the crowds and party for 4 days. Oh the crazy pictures I have from that thing being an 18 year old kid

I saw Run the Jewels at a festival, I knew of them, but never heard their music, and I thought it was good. I also saw Tame Impala headline a festival, and thought it was boring.

I can't imagine watching dashboard confessional in that setting.

Are bassnectar, flume and ganja like electronic stuff?

I saw Dashboard at Firefly last year and rocked out to it...apparently I still know all the words to all of their songs...I'm not (that) embarrassed...

I also met Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin) when he did a small acoustic set at 4:30 in the afternoon in front of about 120 people...it was great. So my life is complete.

I'm actually zipping through all my high school bands that I loved in like a 12 month span, I checked off Dashboard, Anberlin, Something Corporate, I'm going to see Motion City Soundtrack on Saturday...a lot of stuff I just didn't have access to when I was younger...

King Gizz would be such an interesting live experience given how each of their albums sound completely different. Like, Fishing for Fishies vs their new one is like old folks home vs a mosh pit. I have no idea how a band can put out two things so completely different but by god they make it work.

Who am I kidding, I'd probably show up for Oysterhead then peace out. Surprised they'll have Primus and Oysterhead but no TAB.

Saw Motion City Soundtrack’s keyboarder do a ****ing handstand on his keyboard and continue playing.

It was at WVU in like 2005. Them, Staind and Cypress Hill. It was weird, but good.
