i heard some seats for steve vai at the palace in nov were going for 1k? any truth to this?I think we're around the same age and I was gonna say I missed this scene by about ten years. There are a handful of bands that I would see in that lineup, but most of them are bands that I have already seen at least once. I've seen Offspring twice, Green Day and Rise Against once, but the only bands in there that I wouldn't mind seeing are MXPX, Goldfinger, and maybe Zebrahead due to them having a song or two on the THPS soundtracks.Other than Green Day, none of that interests me. But a lot of people love all of it. I think I missed that genre by about 5 years.
Also, at these prices, even if it wasn't sold out, I'm not sure how much interest I would have in seeing this show.GENERAL ADMISSION

Saw this show in Buffalo. Was definitely worth the trip. Some of the songs were definitely structured different than the Police versions, but I guess that was also the point of calling the show "deranged".This might be interesting Gaucho.
It was kinda weird seeing Stewart's kit out in front of the orchestra.

The full Deluxe album came out, and obviously, it's really good. I recognize a lot of the outtakes from the Anthology volume 2, but the sound quality is much better. One thing I didn't realize is the song Rain was recorded at a much higher tempo and slowed down for the single release.I think Rubber Soul will be it, too. The technique that Giles Martin used for Revolver was developed by Peter Jackson for use in Get Back (and probably the WW1 film he made a few years ago).
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... 234587264/The new mix from Giles Martin and Sam Okell goes beyond what they did with previous deluxe editions, thanks to the “de-mixing” technology developed by the audio team led by Emile de la Rey at Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films Productions Ltd. It was devised for Get Back, to separate individual Beatle voices from the audio murk of the original film footage. Remember the scene where they cut through the cafeteria clatter to focus on John and Paul’s voices, getting emotional over George, with a microphone planted in a flowerpot? That’s what they do to Ringo’s drum kit. It sounds amazing.
As Martin explains, “There’s no one who’s getting audio even close as to what Peter Jackson’s guys can do. The funny thing, they won’t let anyone else use it — they may do eventually. But Peter’s such a big Beatles fan, he’s willing to help out. I quite like that in a way, that the Beatles are still using technologies that no one else is using. It’s really groundbreaking. The simplest way I can explain it: It’s like you giving me a cake, and then me going back to you about an hour later with flour, eggs, sugar, and all the ingredients to that cake, that all haven’t got any cake mix left on them.”
“Taxman,” for example, was famously recorded with the drums, bass, and rhythm guitar all on one track. The new tech allows separate tracks for Ringo’s kick drum, toms, hi-hats, etc. Nothing is being altered, obviously — but now we can hear more of what the lads played in the room that day. You can hear details buried way down in the mix, like the acoustic guitar in “For No One,” or the finger snaps in “Here, There, and Everywhere.”
Great audio of George Martin coordinating the string quartet with Paul. And one of the quartet throws a little shade at Paul when he couldn't hear the difference between vibrato and no vibrato. "Oh, he can't even tell the difference..."

Away From the Shire themed weekend started last night. That was a rad concert. Start it up around 8:30 for the start of the Shire jam. Their costumes were terrific, loved how they spoke the story throughout the night. The cello player dressed as gollum throughout the night was awesome. Never experienced a death cello to nasty hobbits song before. Well **** done.

Gollum was terrific. Can't believe they stayed in costume the entire time. Loved after gandalf fell, they did ring of fire

Billy Pittsburgh show is up. man, that had a little bit of everything. Unreal how talented that group is, Billy taking the guitar to another level. Wargasm, highway hypnosis, hide and seek were straight bangers. It was fun talking with him afterwards. He was genuinely interested how everything went from the stands. Very down to earth and funny. Had a nice chat with the bassist about Lord of the rings. Pretty cool seeing them in their prime as they are blowing up. Can't wait for more shows

If that's SOAD with the entire original band, they're worth seeing alone. Don't care about basically anyone else on that list, save for possibly Korn.

Wait, I see Lacuna Coil in there, too. So I found 3 bands I'd listen to.

Deftones and Incubus would probably would be cool, I would definitely watch SOAD and Korn.Wait, I see Lacuna Coil in there, too. So I found 3 bands I'd listen to.
Turnstile is a new band that rules, kind of randomly on that chart.
Then there's the for the lol's acts like Papa Roach and Sevendust, didn't see Static X on there, also Spineshank would be fit well with that roster.
