I almost got to play a gig at the Whiskey back in 2010. I was in SD to visit the in laws and a cousins band was scheduled but their guitar player got norovirus. They asked me to fill in but about an hour later a friend of theirs (who knew their catalog better than I) got back to them and filled in instead.

I've been a subscriber since launch, and it's great. I wish more artists did this sort of thing.

The Smiths are great, but Morrissey is sort of an idiot.

New t Swift album any good?
It very much feels like Folklore v2, which is a good thing. If you like that album, you'll like this. Some songs have more of a pop feel, but still fit in with the rest of the album. There's another song feat. Bon Iver which is great. If Taylor is like the rest of us and can't get a COVID vaccine until May/June, I suspect she'll release at least 3 more albums.

I always forget that Dickey Betts wrote AND sung Ramblin' Man and wrote Jessica. Underrated member of the band

If Betts was the sole credited songwriter on Jessica, he easily could've been making well over $100k a year for two dozen seasons off Top Gear alone. (I mean, I don't know the rights situation; just saying that's how much you can get for music publishing rights for a show with the global reach of TG)

I had tickets to see him last year but then Covid.

Jessica was written by him based off his daughters banging on stuff.
