These "first time hearing" reaction videos are all pretty much bullshit, right?
I personally hate them, but I am super cynical about any "content" like that.
Something like this I presume is genuine.

The vocal coach in 2020 telling me this her first time hearing "She Used To Be Mine" from "Waitress" can pound sand.

Get Back is excellent. I'm about halfway through the whole thing. This is cool:
We just finished part 1 last night, and got maybe 30 mins into part 2, so we're a little bit behind you.

Watching 3/4 of the band huddled up with show runners and business people talking about plastic bleachers....... while 50' away off camera, completely unheralded or flagged by the filmmakers, Paul is playing "Let It Be" for the first time..... the majesty of the art completely subsumed by the realities of being 'The Beatles'........ I found that particularly heart breaking.

That and what an off handed dick PM was to George. While I'm not entirely cool with the secret recording, it was something else hearing that discussion between John and Paul.

Finished up Get Back last night. Didn't realize PJ had been characterizing it as 'a documentary about a documentary', but that was my first thought. My second thought was "470 minutes of burying the lede".

The film chronicles events of Dec '68 - Jan '69. Let It Be wasn't released until May 1970. In fact, Abbey Road was recorded, mixed, and released in between the events of the film and the release of Let It Be. (Although they do show the genesis of some Abbey Road tracks - Octopus's Garden, Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, etc)

They also ignore the whole John-became-a-heroin-addict thing. He showed with almost no new material to offer, and in reality aside from comic relief was largely creatively useless for these 8 weeks.

When they were interviewing people on the street and the lady was like "They woke me up!", Mrs Tif and I both were like "I DON'T LIKE SPAM!" So that was a good laugh. I mean, the lady had the voice and everything.

Previous remarks notwithstanding, it was highly worth watching just for the 'Eureka!' moment John had when hearing Two Of Us on acoustic guitar the first time. Seeing a creative genius recognize greatness in the moment was exhilarating.

Or how Paul fumbled around and wrote Get Back.

I wonder if they'll leave the coke on Neil Young's nose? It was edited out on the original cut lol

So I'm A/B-ing the original Phil Spector mixes on Let It Be vs the new version of the 'Naked' mix. It's sort of hard to hear how much better Naked is. They're like different songs.

I found it very difficult to believe that the Let It Be Naked album was released in 2003. It seems much more recent than that.

But I agree, Naked is superior in every way.

One of my unofficial bucket list items is attending a service at his church in Memphis.

What's on your official bucket list and why didn't the church make the cut?
