Dude nails the sound, especially Tom's voice and Kerry King's solo.

Thought Willie was already in.
I know this discussion has been had numerous times, but can we just rename it the Billboard Hall Of Fame or the (insert some sort of corporate music sponsorship here) Hall Of Fame?

The HOF itself is kinda weird, but the induction ceremonies are often pretty fun.

The hall is a joke pretty much. No Iron Maiden, no Slayer, no Pantera, no solo Ozzy, no Megadeth etc.
Judas priest took forever to get in.
And the list goes on.

I’m disappointed that it took me 31 years of my life to discover this song
might actually be the greatest vocal performance I’ve ever heard

Kate’s resurgent popularity in ‘22 got her in I guess, but whatever it takes.

Never got into Radiohead. Probably not their fault. Not horrendous.

I've been into Radiohead since their first album, but this got me thinking about bands/musicians that I wished I got into earlier. Elvis Costello is in that category. I know the hits, but wished I'd been listening to his full catalog for 30+ years or whatever. Music, sadly, doesn't have the same impact it had on me as it did in my teens and 20s. Some of that is the ubiquity of music - entire collections available in a couple of clicks.Never got into Radiohead. Probably not their fault. Not horrendous.

Their music has a wide range of sounds which makes them interesting but they’re also a little tough to get into because of that. There are some songs that if you were to listen to them without context, you’ll wonder “what the **** is this” (You and Whose Army is a good example)Never got into Radiohead. Probably not their fault. Not horrendous.
if anyone wants to get into them, a good starter album is The Bends

this is an interesting point but being younger (31) I have a different sense of music. Of course growing up I had to listen to music the “old fashioned way” (either by owning the album in some fashion or by listening to the radio). But by the time I was 18, I was listening to Pandora or specific songs on YouTube.I've been into Radiohead since their first album, but this got me thinking about bands/musicians that I wished I got into earlier. Pandora helped a little bit finding new music (though their algorithms eventually lead to the same songs/artists playing often) but I’ve gotten really good at finding new music on Spotify now. Not only can I discover older artists (like the Lorraine Ellison song I posted previously) but it also helps find new artists, particularly tiny ones that I would otherwise never, ever hear about
For example I am obsessed with this song. I found it through Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist (new music by independent artists). The artist only has 2k followers on IG which shows how relatively unknown they are but man is this song meaningful to me

Radiohead's first three records are a progression of competent-incredible-genre altering. Then they started believing their own hype and I feel became massively less good, and have been pretty dull ever since.
