Curt Smith sounds and looks great. Roland is almost unrecognizable with the gray hair. One of my favorite 80s songs.

Is Weezer basically a novelty band at this point? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

They actually had an album of new material release just after the Teal album. Haven't listened to it, but I haven't really like much of their stuff over the last 10-15 years anyway. The Teal album is a lot of fun, and that song and Take on Me are two of my favorite songs from the 80s.

The last Weezer album I liked was the green album...it was my soundtrack to Project Gotham Racing on the original Xbox.

When weezer released their last album, WSJ had a pretty sizable review of it and basically ripped into weezer for never evolving (though never being truly awful) during their 25? year run as a band

Crazy Horse is back in the studio this week, with a new album out later this year. Poncho Sampedro has left the band, replaced by Nils Lofgren (who was an original member back at the beginning).

Weezer opened the first time I saw Foo Fighters. Not my kind of music, but they were surprisingly strong.

Poncho seems to be very happy on his zen journey in Hawaii. Good for him.

I'm not the biggest Weezer fan. I like some of their early stuff but I really don't go out of my way to listen to them.

I kinda get what WSJ would be saying, but Weezer is one of those bands that has their own sound. If they evolve, they more than likely lose that. So yes, while it might be fitting to criticize them for not evolving, would most of their fans like the end result if they did change?

I've listened to the Zeppelin catalog through Led Zeppelin IV.

LZ III is the weakest of the bunch imo

This is incorrect.

I, III, IV, II

In Through the Out Door is incredibly underrated.

We’ve been listening to summer hits of the 2000’s while making dinner lately. It’s so bad and so good at the same time.

The trivia DJ at Hemingways used to play this every week (this was 2-3 years ago so they may not be there anymore).

It got to the point where my friends and I went often enough that we knew what the song order was going to be.

Pretty sure Shaggy's "Angel" was followed by "Hips Dont Lie". That was always the "Oh yeah, this playlist again" point.

I can't really agree with that list.

II had Heartbreaker>Living Loving Maid, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love...

Aside from Immigrant Song it just felt like 3 lacked the energy that the others brought.

Re Zep III

The song "Hats Off To (Roy) Harper" is an homage to English folk musician Roy Harper. His SO/wife/longtime girlfriend is from my hometown, and is my college roommate's ex.

This was by design though. They were trying to experiment with folk/blues sounds. I enjoyed it but it's not for everyone.

Also, while I like PG, Led Zep IV is clearly the best.
