That is a Top 5 Neil song for me...yeah, I hated that version. It was way too coffee shop/poetry house-ish.Patti Smith will always be cool, but there is something about that song where it just doesn't work for me unless I hear Neils voice with it.

Weld is one of my favorite live albums of all time, and it spawned one of my favorite concert clips of all time:I've been listening to Weld a lot lately.

Great audience shots. That may have been at the Civic Arena.
That tour was also the one that gave him tinnitus, because of how loud it was. Looking at the video, and assuming that the audio matches up with the video (and it's not from another show), I don't know how he and Pancho got feedback that far away from the amps and PA/monitors. That's how friggin loud it was.

We watched a Stevie Ray Vaughn bio/doc over the last couple nights on Prime (Lonestar, or something like that). Not ever really my kind of music, but Jesus H Crikeyfuk could that guy play. Been sitting around trying to re-learn some his stuff this morning, and I have Life By The Drop stuck on a loop in my head now.

I subscribe to the Neil Young Archives. It's really good stuff.
He has a weekly "Letters to the Editor" thing where he answers random questions.
This week he mentioned casually that he's working on an extended version of Ragged Glory. Yikes. Can't wait for that.

I've never heard of her. Is she left handed or is that film reversed?

If the film was flipped it would mean every other person in the ensemble was left-handed, cos they're all righties in the clip.

I feel like that diagnosis could have been made by anyone with a TV about 15 years ago.
