Also, I got my Foo Fighters newsletter email today. They have a curated collection of 25th anniversary merch available.

Which means Foo Fighters have been around for for more than half my life.

It's nuts. I remember hearing about this band the drummer from Nirvana started and he was touring with Mike Watt. They played the 40 Watt Club in Athens a night or two after I'd seen either the Jesus Lizard or the Mighty Mighty Bosstones (!!!), but none of my friends wanted to drive back to see this Grohl guy. I'm still pissed 25 years later!

The real takeaway here is your friends didn't want to see Mike Watt.

I'm in the biggest band in the world.

My lead singer and guitarist just offed himself.

Guess my other band will be the biggest in the world then.

This is the van that Grohl bought in 1995 for that Watt tour. Dave, Nate, Pat, and William. Nate and Pat are still in the band.

This was at a Chevy Metal show at the Conejo Valley fair a couple years ago. You can actually see it parked in the motor court of Studio 606 on Google Maps.

So you see why I'm still angry after 25 years? Dammit, I wish I had a decent car in 1995. Always had to rely on others for transport.

Got to see them in either late 92 or early 93 when i was stationed at San Diego. Somehow left the show without a shoe.

I was kinda bummed when I saw they were going a small number of shows before Coachella 2012 and they were all west coast shows. But by the sounds of it, Ed's voice was shot.
