I am not a big fan of jazz, but I do like Ahmad Jamal. He is still touring too.

That is an impressive list. I only knew about Blakey.

ironically blakey hated pittsburgh
how do you omit Johnny costa and eric kloss?
and get you the album called 'jazz the budway ' if you can find it
also rip to the late great maureen budway who died at 51 from ******* cancer

Listening to that album.... It still amazes me that it was released in EARLY 1970. It was absurdly ahead of his time.

Black Sabbath basically invented heavy metal with that album.

in re. to fripp
possible to admire a player whose music interests you not while simultaneously holding the opinion that the music he makes is undoubtedly excellent

👍

The drummer/bassist in my band got tickets both nights through a friend who had an extra for him. I'm really jealous of his experience.

I'm glad there is someone else out there that loves that album. Far too many people trash it.

I love it.

Looks like they're hitting Stage AE on June 28th (Sunday). I missed them the last time they came through.

Presale is tomorrow. I have no idea on the password.
