With the coming of the autumnal equinox means that we will now have more darkness than daylight for a while. Technically it won't happen for a few days but alas

Today is the winter solstice. The sun will rise at 7:40 a.m. and will set at 4:57. Today’s weather is what you would expect for the shortest day of the year. The good news is that Christmas is a few days away, bowl season is underway, and it’s only a matter of time until the PGA tour starts playing in amazing warm weather venues that signal that summer is on its way.

Enjoy it you ballers.

Love that Cali/Florida swing watching them at Riviera or at the Arnie knowing that we're a few weeks from maybe getting outside

Better hope the owners and players report to the bargaining table first.

Time to flip my mattress and change the head on my electric toothbrush (i.e., things I do on every solstice/equinox).

Earliest sunrise of the year for most locations in PA was this morning. Starting tomorrow, sunrises will (very) slowly start creeping later.

However, sunsets will continue to get later, peaking about a week after the summer solstice.

Today is the longest day of the year. 5:50 sunrise, 8:54 sunset.

Gonna be real gross out there today. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try your very hardest to appreciate at least one good thing about life in general. Last year we were just getting to the point where vaccines were commonplace. That means we have come a long way in not that long of a time.

So on that note, I’m going to work (and not know what the bloody hell I’m doing), listen to some of Harry Styles’ new album (which is good), and probably sit on the porch for a very long time tonight.

Enjoy it, you ballers.

the dog woke me up at 5:30 to go out (surely to celebrate the early sunrise (and I went back to sleep but at least I was up at the crack of dawn)) and then I am going to play some evening golf to enjoy the day. 94 degrees but these are the nice days I think about when I'm freezing in February and it's dark out at 4pm

Happy summer solstice ladies and gents. You guys must be getting a lot more heat on the other side of the Alleghenies, in the 70s here today. Definitely a little muggier than recent days but not bad at all.

Picked up some Rita's after golf and hung on the patio with the dog until it got dark. Fantastic day
