First 3 episodes have all been good. I really enjoy the Kim/Jimmy relationship dynamic. Mike is also awesome in every scene he is in.

This show is just consistently solid, well made television. It has a high floor just because of the quality of Gilligan & co, and I assume it will venture into great once Gus makes his entrance. My only gripe would be how old Jimmy and Mike look but that's completely inconsequential.

from a story-telling point of view, the main flaw of the show is that mike's world and jimmy's word, while they'll eventually meet, have nothing to do with each other at the moment. so it's really like 2 totally separate shows with totally separate tones. it's a little ham fisted, imo.

Yeah, that's why it seems like the show is more of a prequel to Breaking Bad than a Saul spinoff.

The final scene of BCS should be Walter White pulling up at his office for the first time.

This is really the only issue I have with the show atm... it's 2 shows that I enjoy but they are a bit awkward smashed together at times right now.

That said, I still really enjoy it.

Yeah still very enjoyable. These guys just know how to make masterful television. Their execution is off the charts.

Just got caught up. The show is definitely enjoyable, but I'm surprised at how painful I'm finding it watching Jimmy inevitably go down the path to being Saul. It's kind of like watching a horror movie, and you're yelling at the characters not to make stupid decisions, but you know they're destined to.

Im not fully caught up, but watching a lawyer go down the track of openly being a scumbag rather than being a closet scumbag is refreshing.

Woah...
from next week's preview, it looks like Saul might be showing up sooner rather than later. Also, I wonder if Mike is the one who put Tio Salamanca in the wheelchair.

solid as usual. even though i think the kim stuff isn't great, i think it's important to add more players. jimmy and mike's 50/50 split makes things disconnected. throw in a full ensemble, and you can navigate between the campy jimmy stuff and the dead serious mike stuff.

and mike is awesome. i'm glad the showrunners realize this.

Thanks Comcast... missing 2 minutes right in the middle of Mike making his deal. Right after he asked for the $50k until Nacho is handing him the envelope not there.

That aside... another solid episode.

The Kim/Jimmy/Jimmy's brother stuff has been very good. Still, as other's have mentioned, my favorite parts of the show have involved Mike. The past few episodes we have really seen the "world" explode and bring in characters we remember from BB. The first season and a half was good but I think the show gets much better as we move forward with these other characters (the Salamanca family, the skull bros, etc...) I wonder what season we get to see Gus.

i think it's a wee bit of a problem that mike steals every single episode that he's in...you know, since it's called Better Call SAUL. but the format still works
