RIP Jimmy McGill. You threw it all away.

Just got caught up... not a great season, but not bad either. I didn't even realize that it was a season finale after everything was said and done.

Yeah, not horrible, not even bad, just kind of ho hum. I do enjoy the regulars on the show - Mike is still the best.

4 seasons in, I doubt they'd want this show to go longer than Breaking Bad did, so hopefully they'll start to pick up the pace a bit.

Alright... last night's episode warranted bringing this thread back from the dead, imo.

HOLY F*CKING ****...
That second candle flicker. I knew exactly what was coming.

The terrible thing is that up until now, Jimmy and Kim just had no idea how deep they got themselves (and others) into this game. Poor Howard. His friends, family, and colleagues are going to see him only as a guy that went out as a drug addict losing his mind.

Also, the can spinning thing. Howard said it was because Chuck wanted to be prepared for anything... You know Chuck only did it to every single can because he was prepared for Jimmy.

Can't wait to see the funeral scene for Howard and the Lalo/Gus showdown.

Honestly I thought the first candle flicker was Lalo

I figured it was a coinflip. Wasn't sure which one it would be.

Also I was surprised they didn't do any black and white flash forwards during the first half of the season. The most tense scenes in the show have been those because ultimately we know who either survives or at least is a part of the story due to BB (like we know Kim somehow disassociates from Saul or dies) but Saul in the "modern" scenes is the only one whose fate is really a big question marj

Welp... spoilers obviously:
Sucks that Lalo's story is done. He was such a great character.

Last night was really the birth of the seemingly invincible Gus Fring. He now feels untouchable and that's the mood that passes through to Breaking Bad.

Now I'm sure Jimmy gets roped into Fring's circle fully. Kim has to die soon. Lots of things to wrap up with just 5 episodes left.

Does she have to die? I kind of got money on the fact they'll end her story line getting a new dust filter and reuniting in a future forward.

I suppose she doesn't have to die... I just assumed it was a foregone conclusion that she was going to. I suppose she could just go on living her life while Jimmy skedaddles, or she also gets a new identity. Not sure. We're in a weird spot where the flash forwards are after Breaking Bad, the rest of the show is pre-Breaking Bad, and she's not around in either the cinnabun story nor breaking bad, so I just assumed she dies.

Last night was the first disappointing episode in a long time... just filler fluff imo.

We’ll see. It might take us to some conclusion, some how, some way, but nah. Something was off about that episode. It will likely go down as the worst episode of the series, much like “the fly” from breaking bad.

Not only that, they changed the actor. I had no freaking clue who that guy was until I rewatched it.

Ironically, I knew who Jeff was but didn't realize he was played by somebody else.

What purpose do you think that it lends to the story line? From best I can tell, it's just that Jimmy can still scam with the best of them and he fell back into it after being outed by the cab driver. Now he has the mutual destruct button between him and the cabbie.

There's 3 episodes left and I'd imagine a lot of story to get through up to when Jesse and Walt get introduced.

I think the purpose is to finish his story. Closure. I'd be surprised if they got back to Gene.

But maybe I'm wrong.
