yeah, if they gave him a more realistic/common mental illness like OCD it would’ve grounded the character a bit more

For the first time I feel like Saul is actually gonna end up in jail. He’d be the first major character in either show to end up there right? Kind of ironic.

With respect, good. This could be the one "universe" that leaves people still wanting more.

alright I’m gonna dig into it
the entire series, particularly the second half of the final season, has been building up to Saul evolving from a lovable goofball lawyer of criminals to a real piece of ****. Specifically he manipulates an old woman to be able to strongarm a cab driver into criminal activity and then comes within inches of killing a man with cancer.

The episode begins and after Saul gets arrested the game of “how does he get out of this” begins. And then ends abruptly when he sees Kim in the courtroom? He shows remorse and contortion for literally the first time in both series? It felt like a deus ex machina to protect his character so AMC can continue to market off of him being a goofball rather than having a Shakespearean tragic end. It didn’t work for me, frankly

The regret convos, particularly the one with Chuck, were fine, but there was no build up to them at all. Chuck hasn’t been relevant to the series since his death. Saul never once talks about how he wishes he had a better relationship with Chuck. It just…happens

Again, just didn’t work for me

I thought the finale was perfect. Understated and served the story arc well.

Great season overall. Rhea Seehorn should get an Emmy, Golden Globe, etc. She was excellent all the way through, but especially this season. The scene on the bus...so good.

I thought season 6 was overall pretty weak for the series but I agree about Rhea. She was a phenom. her bus scene was a 13/10; one of the crying scenes I’ve seen

That was a great finale and the perfect contrast to BreakIng Bad’s finale.

I feel like the whole series, especially this final season, has been the struggle Jimmy to find out who he really is. It wasn't an arc of going from decent guy to bad guy. That wasn't the only time he's shown remorse. Chuck, Walt, Kim were all foils for his character imo, to see what he really is. Chuck f'd him up pretty good, and Kim had a huge impact on him in many ways. I thought it was all pretty well done.

How did Rhea Seehorn not win an Emmy?
