I like Magnanni.

Have you been happy with Allen Edmonds? I see they offer wide sizes, which I need. I've been a Florsheim wearer for many years now, but in the last couple years it seems to me like Florsheim has decided to move downmarket and focus more on shoes in the $100 to $200 range: lower quality leathers; rubber soles rather than leather, etc. I'd much rather spend the money and get a higher-quality shoe, especially one that can be repeatedly resoled.i have pretty much been an exclusive allen edmonds wearer for the last few years. wore my first pair of magnanni yesterdy. dang they nice

i love allen edmonds. ive had a pair for 8+ years and still holding steady. recently sent them for recrafting for the first time. i would do it more frequently, looking back on it, but they have still held up remarkably well. i have pairs of AE and they hold up very wellHave you been happy with Allen Edmonds? Ahh. Kept all 5 items. A long sleeve button down with floral print. A v-neck workout type tshirt - I almost exclusively wear v-neck t shirts. A polo. A short sleeve button down with flamingos on it. A pair of awesome shorts that are like hybrid between golf shorts and swim trunks. And bought two more of the shorts they sent in additional colors. So basically a 7/5 box.
I almost always keep all the items.

If I were talking to you, I'd say that this is like my 7th or 8th box and I've only ever sent like 3 items back. Take your item setting up your preferences right off the rip and you'll get good stuff. And look at preferences before each box to switch up what you are looking for.

That box ended up being $180 I think. You get 20% off if you keep all items

Been hitting up some Black Friday sales to fill out my business wardrobe to fit me while I'm fat (293 as of late when I should be 230). Snagged a sub-$300 suit from Indochino and a blazer and slacks from Mens Warehouse, all online.
With any luck I can donate them in the spring but I no longer trust myself to actually make progress losing weight so I went ahead and ordered them.
Shoes are different. I figure I can spend more there since the foot is what it is. There are a pair of Allen Edmonds oxblood dress boots that I love. At $450 they'd be the most expensive set of footwear I've ever purchased, including hockey skates. And I'm not even sure they'd be appropriate in court. I don't think they'd get me thrown out or anything, but as a new guy I don't feel like I should be doing anything to stand out. But, I adore them, so...

Wow those are sexy. Someone wears Allen Edmonds here. @LITT maybe?
They never seem to fit me right. The heel feels too narrow. I tend to stick with Brooks Brothers and Johnston & Murphy

i have 6 pairs of allen edmonds and 2 pairs of magnanni. i end up wearing my AE more - they are more tradition, magnanni a little more contemporary.
related to these boots, i would sign up for the AE emails. ive been eyeing similar pairs for a while. they will often have sales on new and also warehouse liquidations. ive seen them as low as 150.
also thursday boots has some wingtips: https://thursdayboots.com/collections/m ... ts-wingtip
i havent purchased these but have 2 other pairs of thursday and they are great

Thanks, I've looked at some Thursday's as well. Good to know.

i've googled for some boots lately and have gotten obliterated by Thursday's ads, nice to know they're good quality. Most items that come through instagram ads don't turn out well. I might get a pair if I see a decent deal
