I picked up some puma boxer briefs as TJ Maxx a few months ago... bro. They're incredible. Sooooo much better than the typical FOTL or Hanes stuff.Puma, still going.

I stick to the basic Four In Hand knot, although I have nothing against other tie knots. I figure I already have enough eccentricities that I don't need to add to the list. I have used the Half Windsor knot in the past, but honestly I don't like it much better than the Four In Hand, and every time I've tried to tie a Full Windsor I end up with a knot the size of a softball. I will occasionally use what I think is sometimes called the Prince Albert knot—a Four In Hand with an extra wrap around—if the tie is particularly long or made of thin material. That extra wrap eats up excess length and bulks up a too-small knot.

My knot is dependent on the width of my tie. I do not wear traditional 4in ties, so a majority of my tie stable is 3.5in, which are tied in a Balthus knot. Skinny ties - 2in - are a half windsor.
I’d rather be kicked in the nuts for 8 consecutive hours than wear a trinity knot.

When I’m not wearing a bow tie, I’m half Windsor 95% of the time every time

So I ran out before my trip to Orlando last week to grab two new long sleeve shirts. Got home and realized they were MagnaClick shirts. These were developed for people with disorders like Parkinson’s. There are buttons where you would normally have buttons, but they are on top on magnets sewn into the shirt and they click together.
I liked the pattern so that’s why I bought them, but it’s a great concept for those who need it.

Yup, definitely would never know if my tie was 3.5" or 4"

I'm quite irritated with thetiebar.com because they made their default tie width 3.25″ and stopped making 3.5″ ties. The 3.5″ ties remaining on their site are leftovers. It's clear from their advertising that they've gone in big on making skinny ties for hipsters. Skinny ties look good on skinny people. Fat guys like me, not so much. There is a noticeable difference between 3.25″ and 3.5″. I've been shopping around for other sources of good ties at good prices.

The trinity knot got a lot of positive attention...big swingin D move...though I understand the dooooche factor of it, I wanted to give it a try and the tie was too long for my normal knots anyhow...

JAB stuff fits too loosely on me generally...that's for big people I guess...at 5'9", 160, that store is seldom for me in general...I have a few shirts from there, a couple sweaters and I think one suit...
Great tie selection at the one near me though...

I weigh more than I ever had...I actually cut down from 165ish, down to around 160. As it's going to be difficult to for me to get into the gym much in October or November or early December (a lot of hockey-ing), so I'm just managing my diet right now mostly...but it's worked, I'm back in the shape that I expect to be in terms of my torso, so I'm largely content.
In the meantime, I can shop at Express...

I remember a lawsuit a couple of years ago where some guy tried to sue JAB for fraud or unfair trade practices or something similar due to their regular sales. The argument was that their "regular" prices were false and misleading due to their constant practice of putting stuff massively on sale, such as the "buy one get two free" promotions. The lawsuit didn't succeed and was dismissed, and I don't think JAB still runs those types of sales after the merger with Mens Wearhouse, but it certainly indicated that JAB suits were massively overpriced if the company could regularly give away two and still make money.
