No to the suspenders, but was a fedora not implied? Doesn't everyone wear a fedora with a suit?By no belt you mean suspenders and fedora?

What's the better of two bad options.
I forgot my socks today, is it better to go dress shoes/ankle socks, or dress shoes/no socks?

I'd go with the ankle socks.

Tough call, TL. Lots of variables go into that decision.

I periodically do not wear socks to work, but it is very outfit specific.

I'm going the no socks. I started ankle socks, and switched.
I have some driving loafers that I sometimes where without socks, but I only have the brown oxfords at my desk today.

Sockless shoes is a firm no for me dawg. I get grossed out when I see my brother in law slip on the same pair of Sperry topsiders over and over again with no socks. DISCUSTING.

I have a pair of shoes I wear when I go to the track to do performance driving; but they're just Adidas Sambas.Watch your mouff. Driving loafers are amazing

Do you know what driving loafers are?

I've never heard them called that before. I legit thought we were talking about shoes you wear to drive because oxfords (or boots, or whatever) are too clunky. With a size 14 shoe I have a difficult time operating a clutch wearing dress shoes.
No offense taken; TMYK.
This is a driving shoe, fwiw:

Google may not show the difference clearly. All it is is some of the sole comes up the heel of the shoe.
