I love those videos and that content in general.

Johnny Elite is in AEW or signed some type of limited contract. That being said, at what point does AEW become WWE-Lite?

When it first started, it was fresh because it was guys who had a cult following and were big in Japan. Now it's those guys trying to just fit in around the WWE guys.

It's a tough one because you shouldn't make the decision to sign or not sign a talent because of where they came from.

The issue comes in when you sign mediocre talents and they take up limited time that better/more interesting talents could be using.

No one was asking for Morrison. No one.

I think the overwhelming amount of stuff on Tony Kahn's plate is starting to really affect things as well.

There are certain stories like mjf/Wardlow that are fantastic but then you have crap like house of black feuding with a 10 pound fake luchador from Alabama...

This is to say nothing of the women's division which has added talent but only gets worse story wise.

At some point he needs to delegate a bit.

According to Alvarez, Johnny Elite has NOT signed a contract with AEW. Let's hope that stays true.

So apparently all Naomi and Sasha merch has been removed from the WWE store.

It was announced that they have been suspended indefinitely and a tournament will be held to decide the new tag champions. (the last part cracks me up because what tag teams? But I digress)

There have also been rumors that their deals expire in the next couple months... Wonder if they just keep them off TV and continue to trash them on commentary until they run out or what. Not sure if they can "hold them hostage" so to speak or not.

So they have a contract for 2 more months plus probably a 90 day non compete clause. Independent contractors.

Double or Nothing is looking to be super long... 10 matches announced atm, with one for the buy-in.

It's worth noting FTR is not currently involved, but maybe they make the tag titles match a 4 way?

Also worried that they're gonna try to stuff the mixed tag match that absolutely nobody wants to see between Page or Scorpio Sky + PVZ vs Sammy + Tay since they won't let that abomination die.

There are bound to be some bangers on this show but might be a lot of bloat.

Wardlow is super over. That segment was exactly what it needed to be to get to the ppv match.

It looks like they set up a match for that Forbidden Door ppv but **** that, I'd rather see FTR win the damn AEW belts on Sunday.

Unrelated, it's really annoying that they are still continuing the trope that Britt Baker is unable to win matches without interference or cheating. I get that heels cheat often but it's literally every win. At some point they lose any actual legitimacy in the ring, and that isn't a good thing for someone who is supposed to be one of the top people in a still shaky women's division.

I guess the best we can hope for tag team wise is that either team besides Jurassic Express wins the belts on Sunday, and FTR beats that team at All Out, or even sooner, really... It's kind of garbage that the #1 contenders, best tag team possibly in the world right now, and definitely the most over is not at the PPV, yet the lackluster JE is defending against the #2 and #3 contenders. WTF.

They need to do the Christian-Jungle Boy feud asap and get JB away from Luchasaurus... it's literally impossible to take him serious when he does a promo an then this big guy in a dinosaur mask leans in and goes RAWR. He's also pretty much stagnated since being named as one of the 4 pillars.

All that out of the way, the MJF-Wardlow thing was great, minus the Spiers botch on the chair shot. But this has been the best segment on basically every show for the past few weeks, so no surprise.

I think Punk needs to win the championship on Sunday. Page is way more interesting as the bridesmaid rather than the bride, and it sets up Punk-MJF II for all the marbles at All Out (or Full Gear perhaps if they want to have Punk battle say Moxley or Danielson at AO)... Regardless, I think Punk would be a much stronger champion and there are plenty of big matches we could see even before he clashes with MJF again.
