Keith Lee might be out due to covid
Not sure what his current status is, but they totally botched his move to the main roster and last I knew he was among a group sent back to the performance center to git gud.
These people also move to the main roster WAY too late these days.

Keith Lee is 36. Riddle is 35. And damian priest is frigging 38.

Yeah Keith Lee came in a star and within a few months he was exclusively on Main Event. He bounced back but the damage was done. There are so many examples of guys who came up from NXT positioned to be stars and were absolutely bungled on the main roster. Aleister Black is another recent example.

General reaction to the Rumble seems to be overwhelmingly positive. I guess I'm just not the audience for this.

I mean I don't overly care that Edge won, so much as the how he got there.

This just went so far beyond anything remotely believable... it was like a 3 hour movie where you figure out the twist 5 minutes in, but are expected to be shocked when it happens anyway.

It wouldn't have been as bad if they hadn't forced the #1-2 thing with him and Orton so that Edge had to lay in the corner for minutes at a time and everyone was forced to ignore him because he had to wait for the Orton return spot.

Most people don't seem to care about this, so guess I'm just out of touch.

I dont care that edge won either and I think that's part of the problem. There wasn't really anyone in there who a large chunk of the universe could band together and root for.

But yeah my wife and I kept saying "would somebody please eliminate edge" every time they showed him laying down. To give him the win after that was lunacy.

Source of the post General reaction to the Rumble seems to be overwhelmingly positive. I guess I'm just not the audience for this.
r/squaredcircle are **** hypocrites. They were in a straight up panic that Goldberg was going to enter the Rumble and win after losing the first match. They **** on Batista's win in 2014. They despise any time a part-timer comes back and takes a spot from a full time wrestler. But, when a 47-year-old hall of famer who has wrestled twice in 10 years wins the Rumble, it's celebrated because they like him.

One issue is that there isn't a current guy on the roster that people are invested in. When Batista won, people were pissed that it wasn't Bryan. That's yet another failure from WWE. What current star should've won instead of a part-timer pushing 50? The favorite in Vegas was Daniel Bryan, who is in the twilight of his career and it would've been 7 years too late. I was hoping Big E would win, but WWE seems content on keeping him in the mid-card.

I was just bored by the whole Rumble. It's hard for a rumble to be boring, but when you know what the outcome is going to be and there are really no surprise entrants...it's just boring.

The women's rumble was sloppy, but entertaining.. and they at least put Belair over.

In any event I haven't watched a Raw or SD in well over a year now. I'm not their target audience anymore regardless. After sitting through the women's rumble, the LMS match with KO and Reigns and the Men's rumble I just further had my decision reinforced/validated to keep not watching.

I keep the network just for the documentaries and old stuff. The Yokozuna doc they put up after the rumble I want to watch. If it wasn't for that stuff I'd dump the network too.

If you're bored now, just wait until Orton beats Drew for the title and we get Edge/Orton at Mania.

In a “who can stay healthy during the build up” match we have guy who almost died in the ring with a stack of dimes vs. the personality of a board. Aren’t you people excited?

Also Orton's burns healed pretty quick no? I saw some picture of him like a week ago all bandaged up after getting fire in the face. I'm not sure of the whole angle, but yeah.

The Archer of Infamy. I've never heard of Priest before last night. Was that the first time that nickname was used?

I watched with my roommate (he has the sub to WWE).

Honestly that Priest dude looked like a shitty knock-off of the Scorpion King from that one Mummy movie.

The Yoko doc is fantastic, by the way. I'm looking forward to more of these Icon episodes.

Side note, when I watched all the episodes of Superstars that are available on the Network, I realized that Yokozuna was a huge dick to jobbers. When he wrestled any full-time WWE guys like Virgil, Duggan, Savage, Hogan, etc., his feet would take the weight of his Banzai Drop while he also held onto the ropes for support. The move looked bad but completely safe. When he wrestled a jobber... well...

Yeah that one sticks in my memory because the jobber was clearly hurt and Yoko just continued to sit on him. It cuts off too early in that montage, but here's the full clip.

What a dick.

The worst part is that it happened to him two other times too.

Wow, didn't realize Lee was that old already.

Speaking of which... was there anyone under 30 in the rumble besides Dominic?
40 and over:
18 Kane (53)
1 Edge (47)
24 Christian (47)
23 Hurricane Helms (46)
26 Rey Mysterio (46)
22 Bobby Lashley (44)
5 Jeff Hardy (43)
25 AJ Styles (43)
27 Sheamus (43)
8 Carlito (41)
11 John Morrison (41)
2 Randy Orton (40)
6 Dolph Ziggler (40)
7 Shinsuke Nakamura (40)
15 The Miz (40)
28 Cesaro (40)

Under 40:
17 Daniel Bryan (39)
14 Damian Priest (38)
30 Braun Strowman (37)
3 Sami Zayn (36)
19 King Corbin (36)
16 Riddle (35)
4 Mustafa Ali (34)
9 Xavier Woods (34)
29 Seth Rollins (34)
10 Big E (34)
13 Elias (33)
12 Ricochet (32)

Under 30:
20 Otis (29? How the hell is Otis only 29? I thought he was something like 35 or 36.)
21 Dominik Mysterio (23)

Wrestlers over 40: 16/30 (53.3%)
Wrestlers over 35: 22/30 (73.3%)
Average age of men in the 2021 Rumble: 38.93. Removing Dominik and Kane, since they are the two outliers on the average, and the number still comes out to 39.
