That whole sequence was pretty awkward.
it's sign-pointing season, and Rowsey's sign-pointing came off as very awkward.
Plus it seemed like she pointed too early then paused, smiled awkwardly, looked at Charlotte, and pointed again. Was she supposed to be challenging Charlotte there? Did Asuka choose Alexa? If anyone can just come out and challenge a champion, why even bother with the Rumble?

Stealing this from a Reddit comment, but a better debut would've been to have Renee interviewing Asuka after the Rumble just like Nakamura. Before Asuka can answer, Ronda's music plays and she enters, except this time she's not smiling like a jackass. She looks like a bad ass. Have her grab the mic from Renee, look at Asuka and say, "You choose one, I'll take the other," drop the mic, and leave.
The only frustrating thing about this is that she's literally as green as possible to wrestling. Either of them losing the belt to her seems incredibly weak, imo.

That was SO good and they just had to ruin it. I dont particularly like her, I'm fine with her being in the WWE, but I thought that womens Rumble was real fun until that.
Honestly, she leaves a pretty sour taste in the mouth with how she acted her last few fights before getting flat out embarrassed.
She would be a perfect heel, though.
Probably, I would rather just see her with Heyman until she's good enough to be on her own. She seems like she has a personality, but again, I've only heard her talk super tough and get worked.

Oh she needs a mouth piece for sure. One thing that's promising is she's signed to a full-time contract. So at least she won't only show up every 3 months like Brock. She's definitely green as grass, but that can be covered. She shouldn't be doing too much in her matches. She should basically be the female Brock. Throw some suplexes, no sell, dominate, get out of there before the 5 minute mark. I'd rather her come in and run through the lesser competition before she gets a title shot, but I can see why they'd want to rush this to Mania.

Oh totally, there's only been three sells over a million PPV buys in MMA - Conor, Rousey, Lesnar. WWE has two of them now. I would prefer she's not billed as unbeatable or if she's "unbeatable" have her and Asuka meet at next year's WM to see which one has the first loss.

I just think her winning the belt right away from Charlotte weakens Charlotte and that's not a good thing if she's considered "one of the best."

Saw this kid's video a couple months back. Really cool to see WWE invite him and his friend to the Rumble.

It started to get fun though. Cole and Graves would just call him out on his nonsense the entire show.

This was my favorite. Elias just waffles Jason Jordan with the guitar and Booker says its because Jordan was using illegal tactics. Corey Graves couldn't stop laughing and told him he's lost it because nobody has any idea wtf Booker is talking about.

Did he get pulled from the Rumble last night?

I know he wasn't around for the Women's Rumble which I thought was just opening a seat for Steph, but I want to say he wasn't around for the finish of the Lesnar/Strowman/Kane match.

Kane is off to a local medical facility. Must be, to paraphrase CM Punk, "Its Mayorin' Tiiiiiiime"

UPDATE: Kane has left the local medical facility. Presumably against medical professionals orders.

My initial suspicions were correct. Kane indeed refused medical attention and actually crawled out of the local facility.

I would just like to point out that Chris Jericho calling Rey Mysterio, Jr. "Ron Mysterio, Jr." is one of the best things in wrestling history.

Every time Sasha Banks attempts a suicide dive, I 'm thinking, "Don't do it! Don't do it! You're gonna kill yourself"! Sure enough, she nearly kills herself.

did she catch her feet through the ropes on the way down, or was she hit and then caught her feet?

either way, it looked really bad.

Looked like her feet got caught in the ropes mid dive.

So after Rousey’s debut, Sportscenter getting the scoop that she’s signed full time, all the hype of her appearance and legit mainstream press, WWE follows it up by not having her appear on Raw or SD. Bold strategy.
