This main event is pointless right? I love Owens but no way they take the belt off of him before WM right?

Unless we get done big surprise at the end it seems meaningless.
It’s going to further the Sami story. That’s the real point of the match. Everybody knows KO isn’t going to win.
I only know the bloodline story loosely but what's the endgame with Sami? He's not getting a world title or a WM main event...what's the payoff?
It’s been the best story in WWE by far. Sami is so good. I could absolutely see Sami getting a title shot but yeah probably not Mania considering Cody or Rock will get that spot. They need to get at least one of the belts off of Reigns. Give Sami one.
I see.

I've heard/read it's been great and Sami has been knocking it out of the park, but I just hope the payoff is justifiable for the story.

This performance is baaaddddd

At least this is hilariously bad. How could you not mic the kit?? Could hear the bass and some snare. Very little toms. Absolutely no cymbals.

I have that KO shirt somewhere.

Glad he still has his same banging music.

I watched every Rumble match as a lead up to tonight. 92 is still my favorite by far. Heenan cheering on Flair all match is just money. I also love 94, 97, 98, and 01.

Surprises are certainly part of the fun but Rumbles also used to have three or four stories throughout the match. A breakout moment for an up and comer, feuds continuing, returning wrestlers, a monster making a run, a debut immediately turning into a new feud. Rumbles have been severely lacking in these little stories ever since Patterson stopped being involved in the booking.

Like I said, even a bad Rumble is fun and it’s still my favorite show of the year. But like so many other things in WWE, it used to be better.

I think they forgot to mic the drums. Lol this is horrible.

Pretty sure they mimed it. No bass on stage, guitarists movements didn't match what was being played.

92 will never ever be topped. It's perfection. The rumble itself and Heenan on commentary. It's just perfect.

There must be something big planned for the finish if they put this in the main event spot over Cody winning the Rumble.

Pat telling Cole not to be a mark is pretty funny. Corey also said that Ripley took a “forehead bump” earlier. Carny terms making it to commentary is not something Vince would stand for.

“Because I’ve been told for 25 years to watch the monitor so that’s what I’m doing.”

Commentary is wild tonight.

I hate when wrestlers directly watch the ref for when to kick out and the camera focuses on it.

mcAfee was sorely missed. I dont particularly like Cole or especially Graves, but adding McAfee injects some life. particularly because he's a wild card and not just a robot on auto pilot. (though of course this is less bad than it used to be when Vince was in their ears).

Who has it worse? Owens or the viewers for enduring the camera cuts?

Yeah it’s been great. And that Sami pop just shows that long term storytelling is the best. The audience will get invested in a good story and this has been a great story.
