Wat.
Speaking of, apparently, Bobby Lashley's contract is up with Impact. Potential RR entrant.

I am looking forward to the 25th anniversary of Raw next week. It will just be a big nostalgia trip, but it should be fun.

I haven't watched RAW much in the last month, but I'm already over Woken Matt. I might be wrong on this, but it's like they took one minor part of the Broken Matt character and went all-in on it.
Woken Matt.... that's the guy who laughs real funny right and that funny laugh is his entire character?
Would have been better off letting him do the delete-delete-delete thing and tease stuff from the Broken character than have him do this stupid laugh thing every week.

I know the last time few times they did Old School RAW, which this should be Old School RAW x 100, it seems like they just brought out some of the old wrestlers who also happened to be backstage as staff. That said, after 25 years, the options that you have slowly become fewer and fewer because of:I am looking forward to the 25th anniversary of Raw next week. It will just be a big nostalgia trip, but it should be fun.
a) burned bridges (looking your way, CM Punk)
b) nobody having interest in lesser characters that seem more irrelevant with time. I doubt they plan on doing any segments with Repo Man or Max Moon, although having Repo Man stealing stuff throughout the show would be totally worth it.
and probably the biggest share of the bunch:
c) wrestlers who are probably not in the best of health or who are no longer alive, which unfortunately grows with each passing year. Looking over a review of the first RAW, eight people who appeared on that RAW are no longer alive: Bam Bam Bigelow, Bobby Heenan, Crush, Doink (as Matt Bourne), Mr. Fuji, Paul Bearer, Randy Savage, and Yokozuna, with a ninth probably not far out of the picture if you factor in how poorly James Harris (Kamala) is doing.
Despite being a bit of a downer in what I just said, I'm looking forward to it. WWE seems to be hyping this up, so I'm hoping there are some big plans involved.

The fact that they're broadcasting from both Barclays AND the Manhattan Center is pretty awesome. With the Network coverage, RAW 25 is set to be a 5 hour show. No way I'm watching the Network stuff.

The Manhattan center stuff should be fun. They usually go all out for these shows. I just want to be entertained for an hour or two. No way I'm doing 5 hours though.. 3 hours is pushing it even with nostalgia.

That's kind of what I'm banking on. If they're going with five hours of coverage, there has to be some big things lined up unless an hour of that is just for Taker's entrance.

The change of scenery alone will be a breath of fresh air. Raw has been so stagnant for years now. Makes me miss the old Nitro spring break shows.

Goldberg to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Who inducts Goldberg? He didn't really have one definitive feud against a single wrestler. Mostly it was Goldberg vs. nWo. Ideally, it's Hogan but he's still shunned. It'll probably be Bischoff.

I don't have any wrestling merch to my name, but I had to laugh at this shirt.
What they should do is play the opening glass break from his theme, pause, let the crowd pop, and then... REEEEE-POOOOOOO MAN!

As for Goldberg? We can probably rule out William/Steven Regal and Chris Jericho.

I don't think Hogan has been back since the Gawker thing went down.

I thought the tape and Hogan's use of the N word were all wrapped in the same incident.
The Gawker thing was 2012. He was back briefly in 2014 and early 2015. By summer 2015, WWE had all things Hogan removed from their site.

Kurt Angle to Braun: "You cost us thousands of dollars worth of damage in equipment"
That may be the hardest I've laughed at pro wrestling in a long time. Just this week they start to care about things getting destroyed??

Times are tough. This isn't 1998, where they would destroy limousines and corvette every week or sometimes even twice a show. Brock Lesnar can't even get a 3 second firework display anymore unless it's a big PPV.
(I think I'm joking in this post, although after re-reading it, I'm not so sure.)
