I turned it on during intermission since Vinnie Mac was gonna be on. Heard something about listening to the fans, and then heard something about them running RAW. If they would have really been listening, they would have heard a ton of people saying that they are tired of them.

The McMahons are running both Raw and SD. Because if there’s one thing the boosts ratings, it’s the authority. Again.I turned it on during intermission since Vinnie Mac was gonna be on. On a side note, Vince looks terrible. I mean, he's 73, but he just doesn't look great.
Also, the segue to the Corbin beatdown was just awful.

They taped next weeks RAW immediately after the live show last night. Could you imagine sitting through that??

I tuned in last night for the first time in months because I wanted to see Vince's "big" announcement. The fact that it was that the McMahons are taking over both shows and they're introducing new wrestlers shows just how out of touch they are. The problem isn't talent. They have more talent in the locker room now than they have in the last 10-15 years. The problem is they have a 5 hours of TV a week and yet wrestlers still are underused. The problem is 50/50 booking has created a roster full of mid-carders. When was the last time WWE created a true superstar? Punk? Honestly, I don't know. I can't think of one matchup from the full-time roster that could legitimately main event Wrestlemania. Maybe Rhonda/Charlotte/Becky?
Vince and company know there's a problem but they can't even diagnose it properly in order to fix it.

There was so much wrong with their announcement.
The McMahons and HHH are "back". Yay. Did they ever really go away? I mean Vince has stepped away for the most part and shows up less than a handful of times a year, but the rest of the fam is on TV quite regularly. HHH may not be on as much as Steph/Shane, but he still seems to be on tv more than some of the talent.
They're gonna introduce new wrestlers? Why bother? Like you said, the amount of talent isn't the problem. It's what they do with them. To me it seems pointless to introduce new talent when they can't use what they already have properly. And sure, you can argue that new characters always seem to draw better interest than a repackaged one or one in a bad storyline, but 3-6 months later you're back where you're started.
The last truly created WWE superstar? I might even go back a little further and say it's Cena. Punk was already established in ROH when he came to WWE, but he did spend almost a decade in WWE (or twice as long as his ROH tenure) so I kinda see both sides of it.

What's the point of bringing up new talent when they are going to be thrown into juvenile segments to kill their character in a couple months?
In Kafabe, why are the McMahons taking over Smackdown? Smackdown has been consistently better than RAW by a mile, and Paige has done a pretty good job in that regard.

I've seen conflicting reports that say they are taping Pittsburgh's show for the New Years Day Smackdown?

Went to a “Super Show” a couple years ago when Punk was champion. It was hard to sit through but pretty funny how they filmed both back 2 back for the holiday break. Punk cutting a promo about being champ for so many days. Redoing spots. The most memorable being Cena rolling a bowling ball in Dorito’s nuts twice cause the first take was a bit off center.

Really cool of WWE to honor Colin Pittsburgh Dad Jr.'s daughter during the taping.

Yeah, they definitely taped Smackdown for Tuesday and also 205 Live. Thought it was going to be a house show as well.

I haven’t been to a live show since whatever Rumble was in Pittsburgh, but I’d much prefer a PPV or house show than going to a tv taping. Those are brutal.

AEW is official. I'm slightly excited for it - they've got a big backer in the Jags owner who's trying to get them on TNT/TBS. Will be interesting to follow what happens in the future. If they can get Omega over in the US nearly full-time, that's a win in itself.
