Hmm. I thought Stephanie might have stepped away because she knew **** was going to hit the fan, but now she is coming back. The whole thing is odd. Vince is def a shitbag though everyone knew that.

Everything is so weird...
Stephanie suddenly leaves
The slam piece goes out talking about her sucking at her job, which you'd think had to be leaked/blessed by someone in WWE
Scandal hits
Vince is forced to temporarily step down and Stephanie is made the interim CEO

Stephanie "left" because Khan and team felt she wasn't doing a good job growing the brand. They grew, but apparently the felt they could grow better.
Stephanie makes sense, female leader - diversity, a family tradition to keep the purists happy. It makes all kinds of sense, imo.

The name on the contract says McMahon....However, it reads Stephanie McMahon.

Also he's not stepping down from creative, so overall it's absolutely no gain to the viewer.

Oh of course not. Until he dies or is forced out completely that will never happen. Also he's not stepping down from creative, so overall it's absolutely no gain to the viewer.

He’s appearing in character. Has he even been on screen much lately to warrant an explanation of his absence?

Why do I have this awful feeling this will be turned into a storyline?
I can see it now: Vince is out giving an apology and here comes Stephanie's music. It was Stephanie that tipped off the shareholders so she could have Vince forced out and so she could step in as the new CEO.
"It's me, Daddy! It's me, Daddy! It was me, all along, Daddy!"
I'm half joking, but there's also this other half that can see them actually doing this.

Maria is the last person I'd want to talk about this - but she's right. She just injects herself into everything.
I also don't know if a woman was hurt, she was certainly kept quiet.

The way I understand the story is she was hired as a paralegal, a relationship started and then she was given a 100% raise and a new title. When the relationship went bad, she was then let go and given $3 million in hush money in exchange for signing a NDA. It was apparently consensual, though a subordinate entering a relationship with a superior and receiving a 100% raise afterwards isn't great. On top of that, the email claimed that this woman was given to John Laurinaitis "like a toy." This is icky enough, but then the investigation uncovered other NDAs and hush money made by Vince and other execs.

That pretty much lines up with the wsj article I read. Keep in mind it said that vince paid the hush money personally, not wwe. At this point I don't know if that's enough evidence for Vince to lose control of the business or lose his job as CEO. But if more stories like these come about...wouldn't look gr8The way I understand the story is she was hired as a paralegal, a relationship started and then she was given a 100% raise and a new title.
