TIL that the Von Erich family's last name wasn't really "Von Erich", it was Adkisson. I found the obituary for the mother of all of the Von Erich brothers that died, she actually just passed about four years ago.

Just read a savage burn from Jim Ross in regards to Seth Rollins saying AEW is minor league.
“One day Seth might be as over as his girlfriend.”
Paraphrasing but that’s a kill shot.

I was definitely on Team Jordan Myles at the start of this whole controversy with WWE, but the longer this drags on the more he is coming across as a melodramatic D. In a now-deleted tweet he called Jay Lethal an "Uncle Tom", and is just burning bridges left and right. The T-shirt design was undoubtedly racist (or at least horribly insensitive), but I think Myles might also just be a crazy person.

Also, it came out that he actually approved the design. Yes, they may have messed it up (badly) but I don't think it was unintentional. Dude is just going completely unhinged.

Regardless of how it happened, a company the size of WWE should absolutely never have let that design make it through the first round of reviews.

100% agree. Speaks to the general incompetent nature of the organization.Regardless of how it happened, a company the size of WWE should absolutely never have let that design make it through the first round of reviews.

So I guess most of the talent who were in Saudi Arabia got delayed coming back. Seems to not be a plane or weather issue. Because of the delay they won't make Smackdown. What a **** show. I really hope this puts an end to these Saudi shows. It's disgusting they even happen in the first place. Hopefully the talent themselves take a stand from top guys on down next time to just say... no one is going.

Saudi Arabia could publicly behead Lacey Evans with a sword and WWE would be back the next year pushing out progressive Saudi propaganda.

Yep. There are a lot of similarities between WWE/KSA and NBA/China.

What's funny is WWE put out a statement that it was a plane issue (not that I buy that), but in the release they still have to pat themselves on the back by saying historic crown jewel event and the show must go on blah blah. Hopefully everyone gets back safe, I don't buy their reasoning for a second though. WWE and Vince should be lambasted for this deal in the first place, but I hope they get awful PR from this.

"The WWE roster is delayed in its return from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following a historic performance at yesterday’s record-breaking WWE Crown Jewel event.
More than 175 Superstars, production crew and employees boarded a 747 charter flight back to the United States on Thursday. After the door closed, due to several aircraft problems including mechanical issues, all passengers sat on the tarmac for more than six hours. With SmackDown set to emanate live from Buffalo, N.Y., several Superstars felt so strongly that they arranged for their own separate charter in order to make it back to the U.S. for the show. Due to unforeseen issues, that charter will not land until after the live broadcast on FOX.
The remainder of WWE’s Superstars, staff and crew will depart on a charter set to depart Saudi Arabia later tonight.
As always with WWE, the show must go on. Live at 8/7 CT on FOX, SmackDown will feature Superstars, such as Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke — plus, additional surprises."

Oh more good news for WWE: Cain Velasquez has a knee injury that will require surgery. Kofi died for this.

Cain Velasquez and Tyson Fury did absolutely nothing for me as far their addition to the roster.

when a member of your roster is asking for prayers while everyone else was unusually quiet, I have a hard time believing it was because of a plane issue. What's funny is WWE put out a statement that it was a plane issue (not that I buy that), but in the release they still have to pat themselves on the back by saying historic crown jewel event and the show must go on blah blah. I'll be curious how many people decline this next trip.
