Good friend of mine was checking into his hotel in Cincinnati last night, and ran into the Mouth of the South. I'm not posting the pic but Hart looks great for 78 and was wearing a vintage Hart Foundation shirt

Just because it was so good... everyone needs to see it. Kingston got people to boo Punk just a little. So much emotion. Just great stuff by both guys.

Kingston makes this **** feel real. Punk needs to stop with the smirking and no selling every promo against him. I'm tired of happy to be there Punk.

I want to think that Punks smirking is a very very very subtle/slow way of starting to plant towards a heel turn at some point. Even his part of the promo went from I'm here to help (face), to I'm here because you need my help (kind of heelish). Even his playing to the crowd was kind of heelish towards the end of the promo. I'm probably reading too much into it, but that is how I took his facial expressions and how he switched stuff up.
In any event Kingston is so good at making things feel legit and real. It's just great stuff.

Kingston is one of the absolute best at making things feel real. Always good ****.

I’m up to March 97 in my Nitro watch and somehow Kevin **** Sullivan is still around. I hate him so much. Also the nWo already feels played out. I mean, the Big Boss Man and IRS are in it. Kind of waters it down.
The cruiserweights are awesome but are lacking any real story or characters. As good as the matches are, even Eddie vs Malenko gets repetitive after a while.

I was just thinking about how much Hangman taking paternity leave changed things.
We have to assume that they were originally building to him winning the title at All Out. That entrance they had for the big Dark Order v The Elite match that would have given him the title shot and then he didn't seemed like a real popcorn fart of an ending at the time.
Had he not taken time off and went on to win at All Out, safe to say we don't get the Cole and Danielson debuts, at least not in the manner we did, which would have greatly changed the ending of the show.
Hangman winning the title would have been great, but that whole ending segment was awesome and was what really elevated the ppv from good to memorable.
There really wasn't a better way to debut those 2 guys and it wouldn't have been possible had Hangman been there to win.
Granted, Cole literally just fell into their lap days before, they may have debuted him, but it probably wouldn't have been as effective. BD may have been saved for the stadium show as a lot of people thought.

The best stuff that happens in wrestling is often based in reality.... at least somewhat.

I convinced my wife to watch AEW with me Saturday night. Really looking forward to it.

I will be paying full price (again) for the AEW PPV. They've earned my money and I'm happy to pay. Hoping to have a few others over to watch.

I just can't do it. I can't pay $50 for a single show regardless of how much I enjoy the TV product. Especially when every highlight will be immediately available on Reddit seconds after it happens. If they had a $10/month streaming service that had the shows + all PPVs, that's an easy buy.I will be paying full price (again) for the AEW PPV. They've earned my money and I'm happy to pay. Yeah I get it. Everyone has limits to what they want to spend. The fact there are only 4 PPV's a year makes it easier to swallow for me. Paying 50$ ten or twelve times a year I would be less likely to do it.
There may be a time where they have a ppv that I don't think is worth $50...when that happens I won't pay it. I feel I get good value for my money right now.

I just turned on Smackdown. Promo between Toni Storm and Charlotte. Just total cringe. Both the promo and the announcers.
That's the striking thing for me. WWE just looks wayyyyyyy too polished now. It's not wrestling, it's an entertainment production. Cartoonish almost. Unbearable but perfect for ten year olds I suppose.

Lots of cheeky references to the Undisputed Era on the last 2 shows. With Kyle O'Reilly's deal rumored to expire at the end of the month, we may just get that in AEW with Cole being stuck between friends.

Rampage was largely good last night, but the main event was pretty bad. The OC Matt Hardy lumberjack match was full of bad spots, the absolute worst being Hardy missing the elbow drop by feet on camera a seen in this clip:
I think Hardy is probably the worst former WWE signing. Most stuff he is involved in is cringe at best, and I can't recall a single good match he's been involved in.

Someone said he missed it on purpose? I didn't see it and Matt Hardy annoys me in general at this point so I don't watch much he is in.

I’ve hated Matt Hardy since his V1 days. He’s the Jannetty but somehow never goes away. He had a few months of interesting stuff with the Broken character but the WWE return killed it. And it didn’t work nearly as well when they tried it in WWE with Wyatt. Long story short, **** Matt Hardy.

Danielson and Miro was fun. Man, WWE wasted Miro.
