Yeah that sucks but Cody is 36, Danielson is 41, Punk is 43. Older folks are going to be more injury prone. The industry as a whole feels pretty old right now. I’m glad these guys are taking better care of their bodies though. AJ Styles is 45 years old. That’s **** crazy. Hogan felt ancient when he was 45 in 98 when he was wrestling Jay Leno and Karl Malone.

So let me get this right: tonight's HIAC only has one match in the cell?

Apparently Cody tore a tendon off the bone. Sounds pleasant.

I forgot the cell is red now. So dumb.

Omos is every bit as bad as Giant Gonzalez and Great Khali.

Yikes. Cody shouldn’t be wrestling.

The WWE doctors cleared him. Somewhere CM Punk is like “see? Told you so.”

That was a good match that never should’ve happened. Overall weak PPV.

No way he should have been in the ring or cleared. That's bad on WWE's part and their doctors if they cleared him.
Nothing about that should be applauded or looked at as a positive as far as him wrestling with that injury.

Wrestling Journalists were all cheering and jerking to how "tough" Cody is. I see that as an independent contractor making it miserable for other independant contractors to admit when they need physical fixes or help.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who was confused by the mass jerking over Cody wrestling injured.

Legit shouldn’t be wrestling and kayfabe wise it makes Rollins look like an absolute joke. He couldn’t even beat a one armed man.
WWE clearly has huge plans for Cody. I expect him to win the Rumble and “main event” Mania 39.

I also haven't seen the match in full, but I did appreciate Rollins wearing the Dusty Rhodes polka dots pants.

It was the best match on the card. Definitely uncomfortable to watch but also fascinating that it was allowed to take place. Cody was clearly limited and they played it up in the match but unfortunately the torn peck actually made the match more interesting.

Guess they needed a new face since Cody is out? I don't really follow WWE Much, but why make a 45+ year old guy your new big face if you have other guys waiting to take that spot? Maybe they don't...I dunno.

lol WWE is dumb, build this group - only to make Edge the face. Bring up Bron from NXT, give the guy a go.

So Edge pins Balor at the ppv... The next night he joins Judgment Day and they immediately turn on Edge and Balor takes over... This makes sense how?
Pro Wrasslin' Thread
Skull is right. It all comes down to needing a new face with Cody out. And of course instead of using this opportunity to make a new main event star, or re-elevating another such as KO or Finn, WWE falls back on an Attitude Era star.
Pro Wrasslin' Thread
It feels like they have a "green" star in Breakker down in NXT. WWE just feels so out of touch with storytelling, likely because they know it doesn't matter.
They're also having Cena apparently come back to fight Theory for summerslam.

They also had a 57 year old SCSA headline Wrestlemania. It wont be long until they drag out the corpse of the Undertaker again.
