Put together some dough for some Detroit-ish style pizza after seeing the posts here. Haven’t made it in a while. Already salivating over it.

Hillandale Farms has a good brick cheese. Buy a block and shred yourself.

Giordano's is the only deep dish I've had in person in Chicago, and it was a dazzling let down.

Deep dish is a savory pie or a casserole. It doesn’t belong in the same discussion as other pizzas. That said, it’s fine for what it is.

Agree completely. It's tomato casserole.

No Wisconsin brick at Camp Horne GE. My quest continues. Also for good cup & char pepperoni.

I think I'll still try the Detroit dough recipe with regular mozz this weekend...just to see how I do with the pan & dough.

The Hormel Cup and Crisp BOLD isn’t bad.

I didn't know there was a bold option for Hormel. I tried the regular awhile back and was not impressed.

Kudos to those on this board that talked about Don Pepino's sauce. Made a pizza last week with it for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Got a couple more cans at the store today.

Does it say “Made With Jersey Fresh Tomatoes” on your can?

Nah, it’s the one thing Jersey does well - tomatoes. The rest of the state can burn.

That’s right, I **** said it, blackjack

Our corn is better too.

Oh, and how’s your shore? Exactly.

Alright… Detroit style pizza is definitely my favorite variety. No, I don’t use block cheese, but the rest of it is just so awesome. It’s like focaccia meets pizza meets the slightly charred but deliciously crispy cheese that leaks out of grilled cheese sandwich.

My man, the jersey coastline is a cesspool. You can have it.

I have the Ninja Foodi 12-in-1 model. While I probably use it the most for air frying (I have a major weakness for tater and veggie tots), I've also used it regularly as a slow cooker, pressure cooker, oven, and cooking pot. I wasn't sure how much I would use it when I bought it from a Prime sale, but I'm now very happy with it.

We bought my mom that very same model, and she uses it in all modes. It has been quite versatile.
