So I am going to be making Christmas dinner this year. I am planning on going straight turkey breast. I have never cooked a turkey breast. I am requesting pro tips from 5af. Should I use the convection feature of the oven? Should I just get eat n park instead? Is a roasting pan OK or should I use something else?

I did convection roast for turkey breast on Thanksgiving and it turned out wonderful (was my first time) and I used a roasting pan

I believe it was 8 pound. I used the recommended cook temp on the package of the breast and used an internal thermometer until it read 165 or whatever is suggested. I believe it took close to 3 hours. I also have zero idea what I'm doing when I'm cooking and it was pretty much perfect.

Any chance you've got Fresh Market near you? They sell individual beef wellington's that are out-****-standing. I've got a freezer full of them, but will eventually try to make my own.

It's a higher end grocery store: https://www.thefreshmarket.com If there's one near you, check them out. Their meats are top notch. Hell, everything they sell is. They have this thing called "Little Big Meals", basically a different meal every week for $20 that feeds a family of 4-5. We do it quite often.

Oh ya. Across the street from the Galleria in Mt. Lebanon. Their parking lot was always a **** show so I only went once. I'll see if I can request one to be built in Zelie.

Im doing brunch for my in laws. My father in law has no one but my wife, and MIL will want to come too. They're separated but cordial.

I bought a ham from Bardines (@dodint) and wish I would've done a prime rib instead.

Doing sausage and bacon, eggs, roasted potatoes and corn casserole with it.

Received a gift card for there today.

The parking lot was full, yeah. But we knew exactly what we wanted and moved with precision. No dwaddlers here.

I feel like bone in prime rib is more work than it's worth.

So easy to do. Slow roast, let it rest, carve.

Do you serve with the bone still on it?

Nope. Cut along the bone/rack and take the roast off. Slice into appropriate thickness for your tastes. Separate bones and auction them off. The bones and the rib cap are the best parts!
