I'm getting wild the next three days.
We're having friends over tonight for some fun - making a chorizo queso and going to try this Nashville Hot Chicken Dip that a friend told me about.
Tomorrow, I have a turkey roulade that I've been wanting to try for a while now. It's just me, the mrs, and lil mac, so I'll make us a nice lunch.
Friday, we're having family over. The menu? Barbecue. Brisket, mac n cheese, cole slaw, corn bread.

There's a dude at the local farmers market that has a mobile wood fire oven. He makes delicious pizzas and he had a nashville hot chicken pizza one week. It was absolutely fantastic.

In all honesty. It does not sound good. But my one buddy said it was life changing. So I'm going to give her a go. He said to sub in sour cream for the mayo instead.

I saw something that I’d love... you put a waffle maker next to your stuffing and people just press their stuffing in there to crisp the surface and then you’ve got grooves for the gravy to settle into. Unfortunately we don’t have a waffle maker.

I have 4 including a TMNT one, Spider-Man, and Captain America (plus a normal one). Feel free to borrow one haha.I saw something that I’d love... you put a waffle maker next to your stuffing and people just press their stuffing in there to crisp the surface and then you’ve got grooves for the gravy to settle into. I can only assume the 4 separate ones are plates that go into a centralized waffle maker? You don't seriously have 4 separate waffle makers, do you?

They are all separate. My nieces and nephews all like different super hero's. Hence 4 different waffle makers. They get what they want from my wife and I since we have no kids haha.I can only assume the 4 separate ones are plates that go into a centralized waffle maker? Nashville hot chicken dip was a huge hit with the crowd, though I didn't care for it.

I've never heard of Paul Kahan before hearing him on the splendid table this weekend. He has a book called "Cooking for Good Times" which seems to have some recipes in it that are right up my alley. Looking to probably buy it. Anyone seen it before or have any opinion on Kahan? Tif, I'm sure you have an opinion...

Didn't recognize the name when I first saw it, but I know Publican in Chicago is on the short list of places to visit the next time we visit Chicago.

Man, I am so excited for Christmas this year, with a toddler and all. And now I'm even MORE excited because finally... EVERYONE IS COMING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since everyone always has their prior commitments, I brought up the idea of doing a Christmas brunch at our house. Went over great. So now, to come up with a menu. I think I will do the usual sausage, bacon, eggs, but need some other brunchy ideas.
