Yeah, dawg, I heard you liked toasters so I put a toaster in your toaster oven.

That was why I bought it, there are not a lot of models with that functionality on the market and we took a chance. I don't like toasting bread in a toaster oven, really prefer the slots and didn't want to have two appliances if I could help it.

imo toaster ovens do a better job at making stuff crispier than a traditional oven

100 percent. The proximity to the heating element helps. Not to mention they are way more energy efficient. I love heating up pizza in the toaster oven, because I rarely feel like doing the cast iron method. I'm not one of those philistines that microwaves pizza though.

Heat the pizza in the pan on yer stove top, and close to the finish put a few tablespoons of water on the pan and cover quickly

I've always found that method to be too much of a pain...I don't want additional dishes to do when reheating pizza

Simple answer: don't reheat the pizza.

take a piece of foil, put the slice(s) on it, stick on your oven rack (you can use a pan if you're concerned about getting it out at the end of if you have a lot of slices), remove from oven and plate, no additional dishes needed to heat. amateurs

We have a convection oven that reheats pizza super quick. It has a pizza button

I've enjoyed the pizza @ Caliente's, but yeah, they typically have some good stuff on tap.

I believe I have an Oster toaster oven. It has a convection circulator fan. It's not a fancy model, but I've been very happy with it, and it's still going strong after more than 10 years of regular use.

If you have it sitting right on the foil, it doesn't crisp up the bottom as nicely. We have that standard tray that comes with the toaster oven, I put foil IN the tray to catch any drippings, and lay the pizza right on the grated part.

Making baked ziti for Xmas party of Friday.

Thoughts on assembling it night before and baking it the next morning?

I'd bake it the night before. One-pot dishes like that tend to be better the next day, imo.
