Yep. Now enjoy everyone questioning your manhood over using one. But they're so much easier with the same results.
My mentality changed when the kid arrived. I'll take less smoke flavor to get more time back efficiency wise. Easy bake oven or not, I still got drunk all the same cooking meat.

I have gotten 3 seasons out of my pellet grill and I love it, i will never go back. I did try on Saturday to get it going to cook burgers and got an ERR message on the screen, so I am hoping it just means one of the temperature probes needs cleaned.

I have a Camp Chef SG30 - which is the second largest grill they make. I find that size to be absolutely perfect.

Mine also has an attachment - so it has a flat-top with it than can be used separately to sear/make food. so it's as close to 'all-in-one' that I've found.

Yeah, my issue is that I think I'd need some sort of propane grill/smoker combo for where I'd want to put it. I designed a little bump out in my patio to accommodate a grill, and it definitely isn't large enough for two of them.

So there are a few companies out there, Pitt Boss that sells combo propane/pellet (electric) smokers.

Camp Chef - does both too, which is why I went that route, pellet is electric as well as propane for their attachments, so I can grill things fast and got rid of my full-time propane grill.

This is their top of the line model, but that gives you an idea of what it looks like plus attachment. I have the SG model, which is next level down and mine is all black.

Mine is a 28" from Sam's Club.
I can do enough ribs for a crowd, or about 5 dozen split wings, or a whole brisket and pork butt at the same time.. it's big enough for me.

My BIL has one of those vertical wood smokers, and it does an amazing job. I keep going back and forth on getting one, but don't know how often I'd actually smoke something.

thats why I like what I have. I can get it up to around 450 after a 15ish minute preheat, and use it as a grill also.

My uncle gave me his conventional smoker after getting a pellet. I used it once and it was a learning process. Maybe in a year or two I’ll consider a pellet

Yea, I'm a guy who likes to smoke meat, but that's why I went with what I went with too, this one has the ability to have attachments to replicate a grill.

If you're a pure hamburger and hotdog guy, a pellet grill isn't for you. But if you enjoy all kinds of meat cooked via smoking and enjoy the process, it's a worthy investment if you don't want to wake up at 3 to prep a fire for 12 hours to smoke a pork butt, and even longer for a brisket.

Like last night, I had smoked chicken breast that took an hour to make. Not huge smoke flavor mind you - but to be able to do that in an hour, would have taken 3 with set-up and clean-up from my normal barrel.

I would absolutely love to get into smoking and trying my hand at burnt ends and brisket. That alone may convince me to pull the trigger. I do think I could fit the smoker that my BIL has next to my grill…

Has mobile app integration, with a library of built-in recipes (some developed by ChefSteps); voice control if you're into that sort of thing; there's a feature called Autopilot that will switch between temps and modes on the fly; it's roughly the size of a Fiat 500 and requires its own table for placement (which also means no one's stealing it); pretty accurate in the 350°F+ range, which is where I do most of my oven cooking (that's just checking with an IR thermometer). Comes with several accessories, but the pizza pan and roasting tray probably will be replaced by aftermarket equivalents.
