I never heard of him and was talking to my buddy who loves making his basic country bread, so figured I'd ask

Mine were a solid 1" thick, and came out medium, maybe slightly more towards medium-well. Not bloody at all, which is how my wife prefers her burger,I’ve never thought to do that. How thick were the patties?I've gotta say, never even thought about doing this but I'm intrigued. As much as I love grilling I do hate when it's cold and windy.Made burgers in the air fryer today, and they were outstanding. 17 minutes @ 370, and they were juicy on the inside with a nice crust on the outside. Definitely beats grilling them when it’s 30 degrees outside.

BTW, My air fryer has bake, broil, dehydrate settings too. Haven't figured out the difference but I did air fry biscuits this weekend for breakfast sandwiches.

I did vegetable kabobs via the rotisserie setting in our new air fryer last night. It took some finagling, but once I got the weight balanced on the spinner thing, it worked well.

Cooked tortilla chips in the air fryer tonight

Second Joule died; I think I'm going to tie the power cords from the two dead units together and turn them into nunchucks.

So about every 5-7 years, I buy a new propane grill. Typically just whatever cheapo is on sale at walmart/lowes/homedepot. The bottom rusts out, it develops super hot spots, it's just not usable anymore, so I replace it. A decade ago, it was $100. Today, we're looking at $200, so not too bad.
Is it worth upgrading to a better company/brand? Spend the extra to get a Weber? If I triple my money (600-750 range) will I triple my years and enjoyment out of it?

I'm in the minority, but newer Weber grills simply aren't built the same. My dad's is a POS, and it's an expensive model. I know others with similar complaints. I bought another Kenmore, and only because my 7 year old one was knocked over in a wind storm that damaged the entire frame. If you're able to replace parts, and on most grills you are, that's the route I'd go unless you're looking for a different burner setup.

Any interest in a Blackstone flat top grill?
My brother in law has one (and my Dad's high end Weber, which he rebuilt) and loves it.
I'm on my second Weber in 17 years, although I will agree the build quality has dropped in the recent models.

I’d like a flattop, but it’s largely unnecessary.

You can also just get reusable grill mats any time you want to cook a la plancha.

The odds of tif actually tying his two Joules together to make nunchucks before either broke is now extremely high.

Made some lamb kebabs (or whatever they'd be called) in the air fryer tonight. Pretty good. Ground lamb, diced onion, and some seasoning.
