I could launch a dictionary attack on it pretty effectively. I know what the code should be, just can't remember what sequence of special characters I tagged to the end.

No.

fu¢koff!

I think. Can't remember if there were more special characters or if I capitalized anything. I hate this phone, should've etched the passcode into the Otterbox.

It's entirely useless even before I disabled it. The secure mail client stopped working about two months ago, so it was basically just a phone.

Well, I already have a personal phone and unlimited voice. I left it uncharged for about two months. Fired it up this week because Apple fixed the enterprise problem with IOS 11.1, but now I can't get into the phone. Argh.

Dotard forgets his passcode and blames the phone.

Yes.

The passcode complexity changed after I initially set it up which is why I can't really remember. I set a passcode I could remember and the phone made me modify it. The fact that the phone was inoperable because of Apple for almost two months facilitated that forgetfulness as well.

Amusingly I remembered my Apple ID password on the first try.

And you simply cannot replace the convenience of a replaceable battery. You can go from 1% to 100% in like 10 seconds.

I recently popped the back off my Galaxy S5 for the first time in quite a while, and it revealed that my battery had started to swell, which is a sign of impending failure (and such a failure can be quite dangerous). If my S5 had a fixed battery, I'd have needed to shop for a new phone (and I likely wouldn't have even known of the failing battery until it ruptured and caught fire). But because the S5 has a replaceable battery, I was able to pop in a replacement, and my phone's as good as new.

Might wanna pick up an S8 before you say it's as good as new. By the time you need a new battery, your phone is pretty well behind the times.

First, there is nothing I want/need a phone to do that my current phone cannot do. Second, the new phones are larger, and I may be in the minority on this point, but I hate large phones. I don't want anything bigger. New phones so damn big you might as well be trying to shove an iPad into your pocket. Third, I'm totally not someone who cares about being behind the times. For example, you should know that the S5 replaced a Blackberry, which I'd used for nearly five years and only replaced because my firm no longer wanted to run the Blackberry server.

I read an article about that the other day. Lots of folks that bought in a long time ago have no idea what their password is. Sorry man, just keep trying I guess.

I just upgraded to a Pixel 2 yesterday. Two years with the giant LG V10 was enough, but I already miss the SD storage and replaceable battery. Also, it uses the new USB-C standard, which means all of the $150-odd dollars worth of Anker accessories I bought three weeks ago are now useless without adapters. And it also means there's no sufficed headphone jack, and the Pixel apparently doesn't support those split dongles that do both audio and charging.

It's a really slick device, but it will take some getting used to.

Any comments in this forum about Apple deliberately slowing down older iPhones (to save the battery, lolz)? I'm sure there are, too lazy to look.

Target had a $550 off deal that I couldn't pass up, so wife and I got pixel 2 xls. I love the simplistic approach to the whole thing.extremely smooth and streamlined.im still getting used to it coming from a note 4. I don't think storage is going to be an issue as Google photos stores everything in original quality online, but I'd certainly feel better with that and battery access. After 2 days with it, I think I'm going to be happy .the camera is awesome

That unlimited Photo storage only lasts through 2020, or something. After that, i pictures will backup at reduced resolution unless you pay for Drive space.

So, I have a flip phone. I've had the same phone since roughly December 2011. It is time for an upgrade, but I still want a hard keyboard because I don't like typing on a touch screen. I know I'm going to take some heat, but does anyone have any experience with the newer blackberry models with hard keypads? I don't care about streaming performance and all that sht. I don't even want to get a data plan. But my current phone has trouble with iphone x text messages ( I.e. apostrophes come out as periods, sometimes entire texts look like this "@(*$&#()@^%(*#&####**&&!@@@@").

Thanks and please feel free to insult me.

I don't have account for any social media network, not even linkedin. I nap or look out the window when I ride the bus. I have no urge to waste idle time letting my brain go to mush looking at my phone. You are goddam right im a young old guy.
