Ice cream man hurt as woman fires gunshots into his truck.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. -
An ice cream man is recovering from injuries after a woman fired gunshots into his truck during the Memorial Day holiday weekend in Uniontown.

Franklin Swaney told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that the woman was carrying a purple handgun and tried to rob him while he was still inside his truck after he had just sold ice cream to several kids on Millview Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

"The girl says to me, 'Give me the money.' I stopped and looked at her like, 'Yeah, that's going to happen.' She demanded the money again, at which point, I had the wad of money in my hand, and I just threw it into the back of the truck among the boxes. It scattered," Swaney said. "(She said) Pick it the F up. Do you think I'm playing with you? Do you think this is a game?' The standard, 'I saw it on TV and this is my armed robbery spiel.'"

Armed robbery spiel? I recognize those words from a DMX song.

Nothing like carrying an easily identifiable weapon on you. I bet somebody calls her in and she's arrested by the weekend.

When Florida meets Fayettenam...
A Florida man was in prison Tuesday morning, charged with aggravated assault, after allegedly striking and dragging another man with his truck in Dunbar Township early Saturday morning.

State police at Uniontown said David Lee Weaver, 54, of Cape Coral, Fla., became involved in a verbal altercation with several males at 2:30 a.m. along Pechin Road at Country Road. Police said Weaver returned to his vehicle, a Ford F-250, and accelerated as Ryan Anthony Graft, 26, of Dunbar was positioned in front of the truck. Police said after Graft was initially struck, he was dragged underneath the vehicle for about 50 feet.

Police said Graft sustained “severe, life-threatening injuries” in the assault. His condition was not immediately available on Tuesday.

Weaver was later found and arrested at his place of employment, the Fayette County Fair, according to police.

ONLY ON 4: Have you ever heard of the "fire challenge"?

A Fayette County woman is charged with setting her stepson on fire as part of this "challenge."

Connie Kirby is charged with pouring rubbing alcohol on the boy's back and lighting it, causing burns to 16% of his body. Her now-husband (and the boy's father), William Kirby, wasn't home at the time. When he returned, Connie told him what happened but no one took the boy to the hospital. Instead, the boy told me, Connie put neosporin on the burns and gave the boy her medication to take.

The boy's mother went to police after learning what happened nearly a year and a half later. The boy showed me his scars.

In an interview you'll see only on 4, the teen tells me what happened, why he's so upset with his father and how his sister had to put out the fire on his body by using a pitcher of Kool-Aid. That's tonight on WTAE at 5 & 6.
Im at a loss of words here.

On the final day of the Fayette County Fair last week, Mark M. Miller, 27, wanted to treat his family to a night of carnival rides, cotton candy and hotdogs.

But the Uniontown man didn't have cash to buy tickets, which were priced at $10 to $13 each, city police said. He solved his cash-flow problem by burglarizing a Collins Avenue house, then enlisting his mother to help him pawn stolen jewelry, according to police.

In a criminal complaint, Lt. Thomas Kolencik said Miller was in custody on Wednesday at the police station on an unrelated warrant when he acknowledged burglarizing the house on Aug. 8. Miller told the officer he “needed money to take his kids to the fair,” so he waited until the homeowner was absent to gain entry by tossing a brick through a window.

Miller took an Xbox gaming console, coins and $2,000 worth of jewelry, police said. He took the Xbox to a video-gaming store in North Union and “had his mother pawn the jewelry for cash,” police said.

Employees at the store said they noticed the 18-year-old walk into the store around 2 a.m. and he started behaving in a suspicious manner.
The employees thought he may be trying to shoplift.
One of the workers walked to where he was and noticed that he had his genitals exposed and he was masturbating in the chip aisle.
“I think it’s horrible. Unfortunately, it’s sad and a lot of this has been going on lately. Fayette County has been in the news quite a bit and it hasn’t been for good reasons,” Bob Siple said.
The suspect is accused of exposing his genitals to employees on numerous occasions during the incident.
Even after state police arrived, they claim he was still exposing himself. The man was immediately taken into custody.
So he's been reading the thread. ;)

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A Lemont Furnace man is recovering in the hospital after attempting to shoplift a phone from a local Walmart.
It happened at the Walmart in South Union Township around 6 p.m. on Monday.
Police say 46-year-old David Lee removed a Straight Talk Wireless phone from the shelf using a knife.
They say he later went into the automotive aisle and tried to open the packaging with the same knife.
While trying to open the package, Lee stabbed himself in the arm with the knife.
Lee was bleeding excessively from the wound, and staff noticed this when they approached him. He grabbed a towel off of the shelf and wrapped his arm in it, trying to leave the store.
After leaving the store, police say Lee got into a car and went straight to Uniontown Hospital. His injury was so severe, he had to be flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Police were able to arrest Lee at the hospital and charge him with retail theft and disorderly conduct.
Lee’s mother says he is addicted to heroin, “I didn’t think he’d ever try that big of a stunt,” said Patty Lee.

Stick a bike pump in his mouth and inflate him back to the proper PSI.
