Yeah, seeing those pics made me wonder if I aged that much since then, too ... well, yes, I did. I aged better than some of those people, though. =)

My wife and I stopped watching about three episodes into Season 2. I'm not sure if I want to just read the plot on Wiki or actually trudge through it prior to S3.

There's no great reason to finish Season 2 (after the resolution).

Season 2 is rough. It picks up near the end.

I know nothing about this show, except that Psych did an homage episode to it called Dual Spires. And a lot of these people were in it, so I recognize them. Oh, and The Captain from HIMYM.

nice read with Lynch

If I'm remembering correctly, I believe Lynch has said Fire Walk With Me will be essential viewing for the new season...

I'm 6 episodes in to the 1st season on a rewatch before the new season and I know it's going to get tough in the 2nd season. I think I may watch until the conclusion (like Shaf mentioned above), do some online recaps, watch the last couple and then watch the movie.

Just skip the lame James storyline in Season 2.

Rewatching, I picked and chose episodes in the 2nd season before I just switched out to youtube recaps. Wife won't watch Fire Walk With Me again and after watching some recaps (the above post videos were excellent) I'm not so sure I want to watch it again. I forgot how emotionally draining and brutal the 2nd murder in the 2nd season was. FWWM is a tough movie to watch, not only because it's extremely complicated in figuring out what the hell is going on, but the theme is so brutal to deal with.

Saying that the show is a chore to watch is probably the first thing we could have agreed on here.

I like the show, I just couldn't get it all in in time for next week. If you think the show is a chore, go watch the movie. please watch the movie and get back to me.

Anyone watch the return? The first 2 episodes were genius. I never thought a show could be so effective 25 years later, but this is and maybe more so than the original. The campiness is gone, but the humor is still there. It's almost like a satire of a modern day police drama that flirts back and forth being so serious to laugh out loud funny. It feels like a satire of the first season of true detective, but with more supernatural aspects. The first 2 episodes were violent, dark and weird. I was surprised at how easy the story was to follow.
