He has shown flashes when he has a decent WR. I feel this past year with Moore was his best. A 6th rounder for a QB that still has potential and hasn't looked like a complete disaster is value.

I think the Steelers should be forced to trade with the Bears at least once a season. For the good of the game

Maybe I'm thinking too much into this, but given how Tomlin was looking at Russ yesterday like I look at a perfectly prepared BLT, it wouldn't surprise me if they 'ran this past' Russ before pulling the trigger and he was cool with it.

So your QB room went from Mason, Trubs, and Pickett to Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Better in present and better potential moving forward.

Easily my favorite Steelers offseason of all time.

So I guess we roll with Russ for a year and try to negotiate something long term and for less than the 5th year option for Fields. He's somehow younger than Pickett. This is impressive work by the front office and a definite improvement for the future.

Damn, he’s almost a year younger than Pickett

Is Gary Anderson's "1" still available to players on the Steelers?

This and the small hands was always a knock on Pickett. Hell isn't Lamar Jackson or some other rando QB with like years of experience younger than him too?

He’s like the same age as hurts and jordan love. And older than the 2021 class (fields and Lawrence)

The one good thing KP did was take decent care of the football. Fields is really gonna need to work to get the turnovers out of his game.

Russell Wilson is more on the ego maniac side of the spectrum than the straight a hole/antonio brown side right? Like, fields learning from him might help. It can't hurt. (I'd be saying the same about Kenny too but alas here we are)

Look, I think Justin Fields is an atrocious QB. But neither of them have played a snap in Pittsburgh yet, it's like five months before preseason...it's weird to me that people say stuff like that.

It's like if we traded Jarry...then acquired Semyon Varlamov and Antti Raanta in June and came out and said, "Well, Varly is gonna play 57 games next year..." there's a difference between having a plan and going through a proper evaluation process on two players that were dog**** last year...

Russell Wilson doesn't exist on the human scales of psychology.

I'm only guessing they said this due to the fact that the pick is basically conditional if russ gets hurt or not it seems.

Fields and Wilson are collectively cheaper than Trubisky. The Eagles can't get Fields, trade for Pickett, and then we get Fields for a 6th. Khan is dealing.

A Pittsburgh sports franchise just signed a malcontent 35 year old to a cheap contract, picked up a failed top prospect from a horrible organization, and are trying to make up for draft mistakes

One would think we are talking about the pirates not the Steelers. Why the hell is everyone so excited that a storied football organization is taking a page out of the pirates playbook?

I'd say people in this town long for "someone else" at quarterback
