I don't know if Seattle caved on itself, there were big personalities, but when I hear players like Marshawn say they couldn't even talk to the QB without going through someone else, that seems weird. Not sure “by all accounts” is true.
His teammates in Denver were all supportive of him. Sounds like that was just Payton wanting a guy that plays his style (drew breese type).
The Seattle locker room clearly caved in on itself, but imagine if the Steelers pulled the plug on Ben one of those years where it was a bad situation.
Listened to an interview with a Denver commentator and he said Russ was liked in the locker room and the notion that he was a cancer was nonsense.
Same with the office and structure, etc. in Denver. He just appears to come across as bigger than the team, and I'd like to be proven wrong on that.
