Baker hasn't finished two consecutive years with the same team since 2021, and wherever he lands will be his fourth team since then... that's something of a red flag in its own right imo. Plus, he is going to be looking for well north of $25+ million. (Which I gather is around what TB was offering, and he decided to hit FA)

I think it's a worthy move. If he and the OC can be on the right page, I think he's still got enough tread on that tire to be successful and it'll be a breath of fresh air for him. But you can't play the 'let Russ cook' card because we've seen how poorly that's gone the last 3 years.
