Help Needed/Wanted for 5AF

Hey All,

I'm going to need some assistance. I know, given the issues with the board from a tech standpoint, I have even less time than before. Is there anyone out there who'd want to be a technical moderator to help get the things needed that the group obviously wants and talks about for the entirety of the year?

Secondly - the board renew is coming up, abd Bluehost has jacked up the prices like 10X on me. I paid $167 last year, I'm not being told I need to pay $687.

I'm actively dodinting at Bluehost right now - but I'm kind of at a crossroads here. I never would have asked in the past, and have carried it just fine since - but I'm not interested in paying that much money on a yearly basis. More to come on that.

Haha, yeah I think the most common asks from most of us are probably 1) avatars, and 2) quote attributions.

I'm still happy to contribute to the upkeep of the place, but if you're making a wholesale infrastructure change, anyway.............

It's a phpbb website, it's not that complicated - it's probably outdated and antiquated. I'm honestly interested in just getting away from this board design completely and find a new forum to build.

So the final bill to renew for a year - for the services this site needs is 579.69/year.

My next step, is moving away complete from Bluehost during that year. If that means taking on a new forum tech all together - that's fine.

We might lose a lot of our post history, but it might be vital to do that.

Don’t forget unnecessary “status update” meetings that can be replaced by just looking at a jira dashboard and take time away from the devs actually doing their work

That's legit the only thing that holds me back. I know if moving the board - people do leave over historical stuff.
