Certainly didn't make it easy on themselves, but I never thought I'd live to see the day Duquesne went dancing again. Awesome stuff.

May be only team from PA to make it. Maybe even more remarkable if it is them and Temple.

Random musings:
--One of my friends was gnashing her teeth about all the bubble possibilities. It got so much that I was just like, 'any team that doesn't get in has only themselves to blame, they didn't do enough.' I'm sure everyone's got some sort of gripe but whether it's bad scheduling or a bad loss, you didn't do enough.
--The committee chair cited 5 'bid thieves' knocking out teams, including Pitt & Indiana State. The randomness of the conference tournaments really bit those who thought they had a good reason to be in.
--I thought the seeding was incredibly poor. FAU might be the highest-seeded team that had 2 Q4 losses and that bad Q3 loss to Temple on Saturday. Michigan State as a 9 was mystifying. They probably should have been in Dayton. I have no idea how Virginia got in. That team was garbage over the last half of the season. My only guess is that their run to the ACC semis saved them. Someone tweeted that they'd rather watch Indiana State players park cars than Virginia play basketball. He's not wrong. Kentucky as a 3 while Auburn got a 4 was a bit off and I'm not sure Wisconsin is all that strong of a 5.
--Region-wise, UCONN got the group of death. A potential run of FAU, Auburn, and Iowa State just to get to the Final Four is a murderer's row. Auburn has that golden combination of top 10 offense & defense efficiency that most champions have. NC & Arizona have a pretty easy path to their matchup in the elite 8. Houston will just bludgeon people with defense and I can only see Tennessee being the ones able to handle the inside-out of Purdue's offense. All that said, while the last couple of years felt weird and ended up weird, this year feels a lot more chalky.
--Finally, the underdogs. Who to watch -- McNeese is going to be a super-trendy pick to beat Gonzaga. I can see why but outside of Michigan, they really didn't play anybody. They like to run, they score a bunch, but how will they handle a disciplined team like Gonzaga? I like how James Madison and Grand Canyon have both played and beaten someone decent (Sparty & San Diego State, respectively) and that they run, run, run. My biggest upset is Charleston over Alabama because Charleston has a ton of 3-point shooting and I don't believe in Bama's defensive skills. If Charleston can limit Bama's looks, I think they can trip em up.
