One of the best mic'd ups I've ever heard with Rowdy Tellez in today's game. Dammit I already like him
I saw that too.

He was f'in with the Twins players.

Cruz with a couple bombs today. Reynolds hit one too.

Priester gives up a grand slam.

Priester at least got through three pretty well. He just may not be a starting pitcher.

Every priester start is the same. He pitches well but ends up giving up a crooked number. He pitches better than most of the fringe guys that have gotten run in the pirates rotation but the results aren’t there.

I don’t know if it’s a maturity thing or a talent thing. I guess will find out this year

Bad roansy again.

This is unfortunate. I guess they’ll have to hide him in the bullpen or something

The past 3 posts should all be taken with a grain of salt. I’ve followed baseball enough to know that spring training results hardly ever translate to the regular season.

Kevin Newman endorses this post

That's single season all-time spring training batting average leader Kevin Newman to you.

Start the clock for when he leaves with elbow discomfort.

The Pirates have been willfully irrelevant longer than Skenes has been alive. I'm not buying what he's selling.

That’s coming off a game where the pitchers in the exhibition game just outmatched the orioles prospects. Obviously a meaningless display, but if Skenes is feeling good after it, good for him.

Worthy of sharing because it fits the theme of the thread

Hmmm. The wikipedia page for FNG make it sound like it's some esoteric slang from the Vietnam War but I always thought it was generic military and/or corporate slang.

The quote was said regarding the Pirates farm system. Big deal, they’ve had great farm systems before that produced jack squat for the major leagues

Priester looked good the first few innings against the Yankees tonight. Struck Soto out.
