3 wins in 12 years, fair question.

The easy fix is to get rid of the slide rule. If the QB runs, treat them the same way you treat any runner. Assume the risk.

That’s not even a fake slide that’s a white man stutter step or just slipping on the field.

Maybe the media will stop fellating him at every chance they get.

Once your forward momentum stops so do you. But Id rather just get rid of the slide rule. You're a football player. You assume the risk.

I agree with that but the nfl won’t ever do that.

Afaik they do.

"When a runner slides feet-first, the ball is dead the instant he touches the ground with anything other than his hands or his feet."
There is not a "QB slide rule", it is just the slide rule. If you give yourself up you get protected. It's just that it's a QB doing the feet first baseball move like 99.8% of the time. (The potential greay area of the rule is that the ball isn't dead until a body part touches the ground, but it's spotted where it was the moment the runner's feet came forward.)
But if this hit was a by-product of a 'fake slide'.......... that's kind of a rich dodint coming from the land of Kenneth McPickett.

I wonder if those comments pertain to the attitude of the skill position players

"In-house rules" sounds an awful lot like "remove the ping pong tables from the locker room."
It is your place, though, Najee. Be a leader.

Shhhh, I'm told this is what success looks like.I don’t know what to think. Is Tomlin such a terrible game planner and he gets exposed by better coaches in the playoffs? Or are they lucking into the playoffs and getting exposed as a non playoff team? Both?

Tomlin and co. put their heart on the line to go 9-9 and because they're probably over-shooting what they should be doing, they're then getting exposed in playoff games.
I bet if Tomlin went to somewhere like Atlanta, he could get them in the playoffs with the current roster - but it'd end the exact same way. Getting torched by an actual playoff caliber team, but I bet he could will them to win 3 more games, easy.

Tomlin hating is the most exhausting ****
Yeah, they should have won at least one with Ben, brown, and bell. They got trounced by New England and choked against the jags. It’s been a **** show since then, but show me the franchises that graciously landed the end of their star qb.
Green Bay? Can you imagine if the Steelers drafted the heir apparent to Ben in the first round? He threw a fit when they drafted Rudolph in the third.

Overall this was a pretty forgettable season. I’m pretty sure no one will remember much about it in 5 years (except for the terrible losses against NE and Arizona). That being said, there was juuuust enough encouraging signs. If you squint hard enough, you might be able to see a contender in a few years.
The 2023 draft class has been good. Jones, Porter, Herbig, and Benton seem like they are going to be worthwhile contributors. Warren and Harris should be a good duo for at least another two years. The receiving core is….something that could be positive if it wasn’t for all of the negatives.
The defense, when healthy, is good enough to win games on its own. If the 2024 draft is good and Watt/Minkah stay healthy, and there is incremental improvement, this team could launch from the 10-12 range of the power rankings to the 7–9 level of the power rankings. There’s a clear path to being an actual “good” team, but its going to take some luck in the draft and some serious improvement in the QB room.

The defense when healthy is certainly good enough to turn the tide in games...especially with big plays. They need to be more consistent though.
They really need to figure out the QB situation though...none of the 3 in that room right now is a high level NFL starter. If you had an actual offensive coordinator that could scheme things to their strengths then you might be able to elevate Kenny a bit to make him be your #1 with how good the defense is. If an option to upgrade QB though exists..they have to look at taking a shot.

Asking Watt to stay healthy seems problematic at this point, given his position, age, and family history (unfairly deserved or not).
