I’m off. Might try to snag cheap tix to the pens game now.
I ended up getting some today, under the assumption that some were put up before people realized the time had changed....except I didn't factor in the people who could no longer go due to work.

Waiting til the day of would def be the way to go, but, it's a group outing, so figured w/e.

Had this discussion with my sister over the weekend since she asked if I would do this if this was a thing for the Steelers.

Me: Nope.
Sister: Really?
Me: I hate shoveling my own sidewalk. Why would I want to do this for several hours, only to get 1/3 of it taken away in taxes? If I shovel for three hours, the first hour goes to taxes. (Note: for those wondering, the sidewalk to my front door is maybe 25 ft by 3 ft and takes maybe 2 minutes to shovel and salt.)
Sister: Geez you're petty.
Me: 20 an hr isn't nearly enough.
Sister: But they're including lunch.
Me: Nope.
Sister: What if they included two tickets to the game?
Me: In a box?
Sister: Sure.
Me: Nope, because now I have to pay at least $100 to park or I'm going to need to find cheaper parking and walk in the freezing cold.
Sister: So not even for $20/hr, free box tickets for a playoff game, and parking?
Me: No.
Sister: but you would probably do the same for the Penguins if they had another stadium game?
Me: (long pause) I don't know if I would. I'd at least consider it, but I don't think I would do it.

I’d definitely do it for free box seats and $25/hour.

So, what are we thinking with this game? Sadly, if TJ was healthy, I'd say they'd have at least a punchers chance to pull off the upset. But your best player being out in a game like this is no bueno. If they can somehow play a ball control game and just run for first downs (and convert in the red zone), they'll most likely be in it til the end. Problem is I don't think Allen or the Bills are afraid to throw in this type of weather, and unless Josh goes all brain farty not sure we hang.

Turnovers are always the great equalizer...and Pickens can always decide to go all Randy Moss again...but we'll see.

I would not be surprised by anything, really. What do I think is going to happen? The Bills are going to score a couple early and Pittsburgh is going to try like hell to catch up and can't do it. The Bills win easily. But I wouldn't be shocked at all to see a GB/Dal style "wtf just happened?" game.

I think the best thing the edge rushers can do is avoid over-pursuit and keep Allen in the pocket. I think what will end up killing them in this game is Allen breaking out of sacks and turning those into big gains. I don't think Cook will have much success, and I think JPJ will keep Diggs contained. The Bills will be able to gash with Allen runs and the two TEs.

I think Najee is going to be their best player on offense by a lot. Warren's inability to hold on to the ball last week has got be a major concern in these conditions. And I do not think that these conditions bode well for Rudolph and the pass catchers.

If I were the Steelers I game plan to stop the run like they’re playing Navy circa 1995. Make them beat you with the air ball.

Knowing Tomlin he’ll play the base defense and go with the “we’ll beat them by playing better football” mentality.

So 42-13 Bills

Would have liked to keep it on the ground there. It wasn’t like Buf was stacking them up and Naj needs volume to get going.
