IMO I think they need to move the transfer portal requests until after bowl season. I feel like that was a rather large portion of the players sitting out (with the rest trying to save their draft stock).
Good idea in theory but the academic calendar makes that difficult since players will want to be enrolled for spring semester in new school.

Yeah, coaches will want players for spring practice. That’s why you see HS kids enroll early so they can be ready by fall practice. Penn State’s Dante Cephas wasn’t able to get enrolled for spring after his transfer and we saw just how behind he was trying to be a starting WR.

Does he know which conference Washington will be in next year? An OSU fan rooting for Michigan should be forcibly neutered.
