This is a really sad story. By all accounts, VJax was a really top-notch dude. Both of his parents were Armed Forces and he was very involved in military outreach, charity, etc.

https://fansided.com/2021/02/15/buccane ... ing-death/
But for Glazer, Jackson’s biggest impact came off the field. Jackson created the Jackson in Action 83 Foundation to support military families, as he himself was the son of military parents. Jackson and his wife, Lindsey, held baby showers for families and wrote a series of “Danny DogTags” children’s books with the purpose of giving guidance to kids in military families.

As a result of his work in the Tampa Bay community, the Buccaneers named Jackson their Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee for four consecutive seasons (2013-16).

Rush Limbaugh dead at 70.

I don't really have much more to say about that.

I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy listening to Rush back in the 2000s. Like him or not, he was the best ever at what he did. RIP.

I listened to him and Imus most days in the 90s.

I worked in a foam factory in Derry in the early 2000s. Through the morning I listened to Stern, the afternoon was Limbaugh. Kind of surprised my brain survived that.

They are really two sides of the same coin. FWIW, I used to do the same thing. With Neal Boortz after Rushbo.

Stern is actually a really good interviewer. I'm glad they separate the interviews out on SXM so they can be listened to without weeding through hours of Wack Pack content. I'm not sure why that crap amused me when I was in my 20s.

Like him or lump him, he's gotta be one of the biggest media icons of my lifetime...everyone listened to him at his peak it seemed like...everyone as far as AM radio goes, which he probably singlehandedly saved...

This is Rushbo's real legacy. He kept a whole band still operating.

I think there is going to much written on this in the next year.

Rush had nothing good to say about those pot smoking FM types.

Oh man, this one hurts. These guys and Run DMC were my intro into rap.

One thing I never realized until now was how young they were when they broke. I'm 45, and Markie Dee was 52. He was just 16 when their first album dropped and 19 when they went platinum with "Crushin'". I got that album for Christmas in 1987.

I really thought he died years ago...

RIP Bob Kudzma, longtime chief meteorologist for KDKA, at age 81.
I preferred Kudzma to Joe DeNardo from WTAE. WIIC (now WPXI) was always a mess news wise.
